The Royal Thing Fling Court are deeply thanked by me and my entire family for the shagging that just arrived at my door via FedEx!

I had every intention of TRYING to wait until Mother's Day to open my box, but I was thrown for a loop when the FedEx guy asked if he could put the two large boxes in our garage because he could not carry the one to my front door. As you can imagine, my curiosity got the better of me...then I saw the two boxes.

The first box was very long and weighed 70 pounds. The second box was more square and weighed 27.5 pounds. Being that I only expected the second box, I ran into the house to find scissors.

My 6-year old son Gavin and I went for the longer box first because, well, it was bigger. On top was the all-important "You've got Shagged" letter from ShaggyFling. To make it very special, though, was a handwritten note from "LadyFling" which said:

Surprise!
At this time the gift is all yours. Have a great Mother's Day. The Royal Court and LadyFling

Anyone who read my previous posts in the Mother's Day MB forum understands the message which, again, shows that the Royal Court does indeed read posts and keep up with its members.

So what did I get?

I received a Auvi Vision Beyond Sound HT50 5.1 Channel Home Theatre System with Active Subwoofer and Bult-In Amplifier!!!

Intermixed in the larger box was a variety of smelly goodiness that my son decided to pull out, put in a bag, and wrap with his home-made wrapping paper for Mother's Day. (There goes my tape, tin foil, tissue paper, and assortment of scrapbooking stamps and stickers)

A very very very special Shagging for me as I have a strong feeling that American Idol, Survivor, and Lost will sound quite different with a home theatre system. (As well as Clifford The Big Red Dog, Curious George, and OSU Football this fall) We do not have one but have talked about getting one for quite awhile. This week when I listen to Adam sing some rock song, I will think of ThingFling, the Royal Court, and LadyFling.

Pictures to come once it is set up...and it is one nice looking system from what I could see in the boxes. Waiting to show my husband when he is home, and we can set it up this weekend.

LOL I completely missed that I posted the wrong date. *sigh* Well the 10th it is then!

Doing a HUGE Happy Dance over here! I just received my tracking information for my MB package, and it looks like I have been shagged in a Shaggtravaganza sort of way!

It is 27.5 pounds!!!!

Since it is the only thing I have ordered, I can only imagine the Mommy Day goodness that might be in that box. It is estimated to be delivered tomorrow.

Now the hard part...being that I am hugely impatient with no ability to stop myself...how can I possible wait until May 11th to open this???

I promise pictures as well as rambling comments about everything.

This goes to prove (to me, at least) that the Royal Court pays attention to posts and sends some extra love.

I really hope I do not attack the FedEx guy tomorrow.

I know I have seen pretty buckets at Target before...and I am sure Walmart would also be a place to search. You could even go with a flower pot from Lowes so your mom could then plant something in it after taking out her smelly goodies. If you really feel creative and want to channel your inner-Martha Stewart, go to Hobby Lobby and buy a boring bucket to decorate.

Just some thoughts to maybe help your search.

I know I should not have looked to see what anyone had received because this is supposed to be a surprise from my boys BUT I really hope that my MB has similar or the same items. I cannot guess what a shagging would involve!

Speaking as a mom, I would be very pleased to receive that assortment for Mother's Day. I am a sucker for smelly bath stuff! The only way to make it better would be a nice note from my husband promising me at least one tub-soaking-alone-time to enjoy the bath items!!

Now I will impatiently wait for my box to arrive so I can give it to the kids to wrap up before Mother's Day.

He is a very good man...father and husband. Usually. He could help more around the house and agree to chinese take-out every night for dinner instead of expecting me to *gasp* cook.

Naw. He can be odd in some of his thinking, but I would bet he would say the exact same thing about me!!! I just sigh when he does the weird gift attempts (on those rare occassions) because I know he loves me. Which, of course, makes him even more odd!!!

LOL No offense taken. He is an odd one. I think he lives with this belief that I should just go out and get something when I want it. His parents were never into gifts...they gave money for holidays and still do that instead of actual gifts for their kids and grandchildren. I take care of all of the gifts around here because he would just give money instead of putting the time and thought into an actual gift. He has yet to grasp that I could go buy a box of chocolates (for example), but it means more when he gives it to me on my birthday or holiday. It is not the cost but the effort which is why I encourage my boys to make things for me or for family members. *sigh*

I totally understand. I could list the interesting gifts I have received over the years for Mother's Day, Christmas, and my birthday thanks to my husband. Gifts that he suspiciously hops around me while I open only to snatch out of my hands and rush into his man cave garage...usually these are power tools. My favorite, though, was my birthday last year when I received an XM radio. He went on and on about how he knew I wanted one (I really wanted a laptop which has never happened). When I said that I would probably get some use out of it while in the kitchen making lunch or dinner, he said that actually he thought he would take it to work with him to listen to in his truck. Hmmmm....

My boys do make me wonderful gifts for each holiday, and I treasure each glued together with a ton of glitter and tape item I receive.

So yep. I am looking forward to some Mom Spoiling, though. Maybe a shagging? Or maybe...just maybe...a surprise box of chocolate covered cherries.

Oh I am sorry to be confusing. No mention of chocolate in the write-up...just pampering. I do wishful thinking that chocolate will apppear at my door on a daily basis. If it had mentioned chocolate, I would have been in for 2 without a thought!

I was guessing slippers of some sort, but a water foot massager would be even better!
