I got pretty much the same stuff as Jinx (although I didn't order earbuds or the 31.99 MB (just the 3x $10.00 MB) I think the only difference is instead of the lighted USB cable I got a flexible laptop task light. The flashlights work great and are going into immediate rotation. My daughter has adopted the shower radio as her new toy - I'm waiting a few years before I break out the yahoo phone for her to have. Going to get immediate use out of a couple of the cables, and I'll ask around to see if anyone wants the others. Don't think I'll get much use out of the linksys antenna so that and the task light will go to a good home w/ someone who can use them. Overall, I think the MB might have been worth the money, but then again I wouldn't have bought all this stuff had I had to buy it outright. However, the fun and excitement of waiting for the box, opening it up with my daughter, and having her jump for joy over all the fun stuff in there was worth the purchase - especially since this was my Father's Day gift! No MB for me today, I'm still waiting for my 3x$10MB that should be showing up tomorrow. That was my first MB fling, so I'm really excited to see what's coming!!!

My first MB fling! In for 3 to make it "worthwhile". My wife told me this is my Father's Day gift - I think she's planning to "recycle" whatever she bought me for Father's Day until my birthday and let these MBs be my gift instead. Let's hope they're a good trade!

I picked up a set of the 10 sport earbuds a while back, and they're really a good deal.
The cord length is long enough that I can wear the earphones and run the cord down to my mp3 player in my pocket with just a little extra slack. The earbuds tend to stay in the ears pretty well due to the rubberized hook that goes around the ear, although not as good as some I've had in the past.
The sound quality is about what you'd expect - very little bass and the audio that does come through is a little tinny. However, for exercising or casual use, they'll do fine. I keep a pair in the car, in my desk drawer, in my toolbox, in my office, etc - then if I ever need headphones for some reason, I've always got a pair around. They hold up well and I haven't had any problems with any of my 10 pairs.

This looks like it would work better than the older model version of this that I bought a couple years back - with that one, the keyboard worked great all the time and the mouse worked well in the air. The problem came when you tried to use the mouse on a desktop - the rocker/clicker part of the buttons was set pretty far back from the edge, so that it would be convenient to click with your thumb (like using a remote), but was very awkward when you were trying to use it like a mouse on the table - instead of putting pressure on the end of the mouse under your fingertips, you had to put pressure further back, like around where your first knuckle was. This made me give it up, in spite of my enjoyment of the mouse in the air.
But, like I said, it looks like they retooled things and it should be easier to use this on the desktop. Definitely not a high performance gaming rig, but useful if you've got a media PC or just want to sit away from your monitor (like on a couch) and still control things.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it, but I flung me one of these (I don't just talk the talk). I figure they'll come in handy when I'm working out, and I'm also thinking to use a pair or two as spare parts for repairing some other headphones I've got.
Oh, and since I'm traveling through India at the moment, that counts as my first international fling. Woohoo!

drewcp wrote:The cable on these is WAY too short. It reaches from my ears...ALMOST to my lap. They make 3.5 mm cord extenders, you can buy one 2-4 feet long for about $2. So if this is your only reason to avoid buying 10 pairs of headphones for under $10, I'd seriously consider picking these up and then one of the extenders - then when one pair of headphones breaks, you just move the extender on to the next one. Now, if the sound quality sucks (as some reviewers have been saying), it may not be the deal you think it is...

It sounds like these are for indoor or enclosed use only, so they're not useful for my outdoor floods or patio fixtures, which are not enclosed. Furthermore, a light sensor seems like it should be able to be set for use to always-on from dusk-dawn. Night lasts a lot longer than 6 hours here, and I'd like my lights to be on all night, not turn off 6 hours after sundown - otherwise they'd shut off just after midnight in the winter time here!

You'd think mine would be obvious....and at one time, it used to be true. Not anymore though, but the handle stuck. After all, RossUsedToRun just doesn't have the same ring, does it?
