It looks like this is damaged merchandise, like they have also gotten wet perhaps.. packaging is all scratched up also. This is only the second time I have ordered from ThingFling.. have others experienced something like this? Should i send these back? Is this a standard practice that FlingThing sells damaged merchandise and that is why the prices are good? I'd really appreciate any help!! Thanks!! TF sells mainly closeout items. Since they are buying closeouts from various companies to resell, sometimes there is damaged packaging. However, the products should be just fine. If there is a problem with the item, just open a HelpDesk ticket and they will make things right. Since you said it looks like these have gotten wet and since you plug them directly into a power source, I would open a HelpDesk ticket if I were you since water and electricity don't quite get along. Thanks for your reply... I did put in a ticket and they just sent me an email saying I could send them back... at my expense!! I don't like that.... I think they were busted up to begin with... they say they are putting in a ticket with UPS... hard to really tell if they are water damaged... just can't really believe the packaging got that damaged shipping to me.. although i have to say the way they packaged it was a joke. I might try them to see if they work if they are going to screw me out of the postage.. probably cost me over $10 to ship them back.. if they don't make it right, I doubt i'll be back... too bad, because I thought they were going to be legit. It seems this is standard for them - I received a speaker that was not working and ended up paying $21.00 in shipping charges and got only - Sorry we refunded the item cost - rules are rules - you got screwed. There is nothing you can do but spend more money sending it back - pay the return cost - and risk getting nothing in return or keeping it and see if you can get it fixed. I will bet if you return it all you will get is a refund of the item cost - NO shipping. Did it cost enough to return it and get some money back? You are going to get screwed anyway you look at it.

I got my box of 99 cent chinese grab bag items on here. If you added all of it up at full MSR you still would have a hard time saying it was worth the expense. I tried it once and learned what to expect - that was it - never again.

I just got my response from TF - In short "rules are rules - sorry - that's all you get". I guess they don't really care if we are happy or not. In my thinking they could have sent me a notice regarding this prior to refunding and given me an option or two so it would not have been a $21.00 total loss to me. Options could have been a credit to use on a future purchase, free shipping on my next purchase, another item as a "We are sorry for your problem" gift. Anything would have been better than this.

The item I received was defective not damaged in shipping. I contacted them about the problem and they advised me to return it to them. As stated in their policy they have the option to replace or refund depending on if they have a replacement. I received an email advising me they didn't have a replacement and were refunding the cost. I was not offered any other options or contacted in anyway other than to say they were refunding my cost. The item was an Acustic Research indoor/outdoor Speaker with a short in it. NOTE: I did first contact Acustic Research to ask about replacement or repair and they said it would be best to return it to where I purchased it. I would have sent it back to AR for replacement or repair if I had known I was going to receive nothing in return from ThingFling. ** Just as a foot note I purchased a ???? box from TF for $15 and was not happy at all with the content. It was all made in China $1.00 grab bag junk worth less than what I paid for it unless you cost it out at MSR. I didn't complain because I took it as a lesson not to purchase ??? in the future. Now this - what lesson have I learned? *** I sent in a "ticket" on this and will let you know what I hear from TF. Best of luck to you all on your purchases.

I ordered an item for $34.99 with $6.00 S&H. I received a non working item. I paid $15.00 to return it to ThingFling for replacement and got a refund of $34.99. What did I get??? SCREWED I paid over $21.00 in shipping charges and have nothing to show for it. Is this what one should expect by ordering from a company like this?? Is it a gamble that you take that you might get a good deal???
