Too all doubters: I am a man of my words and now I'm back. But I am also gone for good. The gypping actually continues. I got my "children" mystery box. The contents inside were so gross & dirty with DUST build-up, the one where you brush it off and can smell it. It looks like old & discontinued stuff that's been sitting in inventory forever. The $50 power tool item that was promise as an item that TF had never sold before turns out to be a "Roadside Emergency" Kit and the "PowerSmith: Cordless Screwdriver." Both have been sold here. Thingfling--LIED--yet again. This is becoming more like scam than a deal. I bought two of the RCA Remotes with the LCD Screen. I did not even get those. I got two of the older RCU800B Models, which are not the items that I have ordered. And another issue is one of my order got removed from my list of flings. My credit card have already been charged, but no Wilson Notebooks yet. I guess we can rename it the "6 Wilson Notebooks" disappearing trick. I am really disappointed with Thingfling's integrity. Somebody is not doing their jobs properly or intentionally scamming me. I am done flinging forever. TF's low level of integrity is finally revealed and I understand now what kind of business these guys are running. I want my $14.55 refund. No items were shipped and my order even magically disappeared from the list. It was fun flinging, but now it's to the level where their services are just dropping lower and lower. Some people are just lucky, some people aren't. I wonder if their treatment of me is a retaliation to this thread. Whatever it is, it matters less to me now. I had my fun here and I wish you all the best.

It's not a tongue scraper, though. It's a toothpick thing-a-majig! I wouldn't be as disappointed if it was 6 tongue scrapers to substitute for the breathspray. But those toothpick thing-a-majig's, those babies are useless! They don't really work. I've tried them before and was also diappointed when I purchased them at a Wal-Mart. So to see them again sparks a repeat in history, a repeat in disappointment. I do not mean to be a distraction to this community. Please skip my thread to those of you that don't like reading them. We're all different. That's what makes us special. In this day and age, it's important to communicate. Not just with the people above us (i.e., the helpdesk), but people around us (i.e., fellow TF-ers.) We're social creatures! To keep things bottled up would only lead to craziness. Sometimes rants are good. It's not like I'm pointing fingers at any particular member. Let's say this was a family and we are siblings. I don't see how it's wrong for us siblings to talk about the parents when they're not around, right? Well, in this case, Thingfling is the parent. Just "lend me your ears," as that one famous person once said. I believe it was Julius Caesar that said that. We're all in the same boat here. So please stick up for your fellow TF-ers. I'm not a bad person. I have no intentions of being one. I'll tone it down some. I'll ground myself from posting for a week if that helps. Alright, punishment begins now!

Forget about the swap thing, just dump it off at Poshpoints. That's what I have been doing lately. And it works too!

Have you opened a helpdesk ticket about this? The King will make it right with you, it just appears to be a packing problem, I can almost assure you. Please dont just start ranting all over until you try the help desk, that will make this site like the rest, with posts all over it without trying to resolve it through the helpdesk FIRST.HELPDESK It ain't that bad of a rant! I had humor in it with the other retailers going off to the side and not showing their faces. I don't think it's necessary to use the "Helpdesk" this time around. If TF has to keep on fixing orders like this, prices will climb and it will hurt all of us in the long run. Either way, I still got a deal. I'll take this one for the team. This rant was meant for entertainment purposes only. It's not evil in any way. I hope you all know that! Thanks for looking out, eagle-eye & Nub015.

Geradrw wrote:I flung my first fling on the 10th. Figured 7-10 days for arrival so I put my home address, no tracking information yet though so I'm guessing I'll be back to college for the summer before it arrives. No room to complain though as shipping is FREE! I'll just get it later this summer if I come home for a weekend. Good to know eagle-eye. Did you get a shipped email? Maybe I'll get my AMB Saturday. You mean, a Saturday in a different world and not this one, right? It sure ain't gonna happen! I hope you know that UPS do not deliver on Saturdays, unless you pay more for that service. Unfortunately, these are coming via "UPS Ground." So try Monday or Tuesday, instead. My 2 cents!

Not only did he post a referral link, which it seems he removed it when he edited his post, he also told people to put list something for sale and suggested to make the price high if they don't really want to sell something.
IMO proper procedure would be to make a post saying "Hey I found a cool website check it out." Give a clean link to the website. Then say "If anyone wants to sign up with me as a referral, send me a PM. I'd really appreciate it."
Yeah, you're right. That would be way more professional than what he did.

Or how about turning this into a game of some sort, similar to the one Jellyfish does? Instead of guessing percentages, we can guess quantity left.

mguiddy wrote:According to The National Prostate Cancer Coalition one in six men will get prostate cancer. If 1/6th of the men in that study got prostate cancer that would be 50,000 men. Seems like the multivitamins helped. Seems to me that given enough money researchers can prove water causes cancer. What in water would be the cause for cancer? All I know is that bottled water is bad for you. It's missing some key nutrients and is bad for your teeth.

Quote:Study links vitamin use, prostate cancer 51 minutes ago
There's more worrisome news about vitamins: Taking too many may increase men's risk of dying from prostate cancer.
The study, being published Wednesday, doesn't settle the issue. But it is the biggest yet to suggest high-dose multivitamins may harm the prostate, and the latest chapter in the confusing quest to tell whether taking various vitamins really helps a variety of conditions — or is a waste of money, or worse.
Government scientists turned to a study tracking the diet and health of almost 300,000 men. About a third reported taking a daily multivitamin, and 5 percent were heavy users, swallowing the pills more than seven times a week.
Within five years of the study's start, 10,241 men had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Some 1,476 had advanced cancer; 179 died.
Heavy multivitamin users were almost twice as likely to get fatal prostate cancer as men who never took the pills, concludes the study in Wednesday's Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
Here's the twist: Overall, the researchers found no link between multivitamin use and early-stage prostate cancer.
The researchers speculate that perhaps high-dose vitamins had little effect until a tumor appeared, and then could spur its growth.
While similar but smaller studies have suggested a link, too, more rigorous research is needed, caution the National Cancer Institute scientists. This newest study involves men who voluntarily took vitamins, and those most at risk — perhaps because they had a family history of the disease — may have been more likely to take the pills in hopes of avoiding their fate.
Still, "the findings lend further credence to the possibility of harm associated with increased use of supplements," Dr. Christian Gluud of Copenhagen University Hospital and Dr. Goran Bjelakovic of Serbia's University of Nis wrote in an accompanying editorial.

This is some crazy information. Should we even use multi-vitamin pills anymore? My father was telling me some time ago that the multivitamins I'm taking are actually bad for me. I didn't believe him at first, but I guess the truth finally leaked out. Geez! I don't know. They tell you to drink it and now there's study out there that says that it's bad. What should we do now? Drink it or leave it? We need some of the guys out there that actually care about themselves to comment on this stuff. This is like a dilemma now. What to do!
