hey, guys. check it out. i'm selling anticipation right now at this very minute. please pm me with your interest and i'll give you my e-mail adress so you can send me ten bucks via paypal. once i receive your money i will send you out one item that you've never seen before. the items i ship will have some value to ME and will be worth some money to ME. this is one mystery package you do not want to miss!!! would anyone seriously do this? seriously??? no. you don't trust me. you don't know anything about me. when thingfling says something like this people will purchase the mystery because they actually trust thingfling and have positive experiences in the past. so guess what, you're not paying for the anticipation. but if anyone wants to take me up on the mystery package i am offering, by all means, pm me.

dear royal people, please offer a GOOD 3.33 mystery box VERY soon. then i can use my coupon(s) on something. it may be a good way to rectify this situation. you may have to take a loss to make the people happy. as others have mentioned, these 3.33 coupons do not make up for the crap that was received. i do appreciate the efforts to make things right.

santuitman wrote:It is interesting that now, after the complaints AND the speculation that maybe the court will quickly pack some "shagged" boxes to help appease the crowd, that this is what is going to happen. I must say sending some shagged boxes to some other flinger won't really help my feeling of getting unusable junk. Edit :you type too fast sparhawk! I could had just said "ditto" ditto.

I'm not offering something because he is complaining, the only reason I offered was because the way I said I would like to see him with his next box another Flinger thought I was being rude. That's all.
Shaggy, not to get into the "is it/isn't it worth it" discussion, BUT - a note on the first page saying why some boxes are still "processing" after almost two weeks (especially those of us who got in the first hour or less) would go a long way towards soothing jangled nerves. Let's face it, you aren't going to please everyone every time, but being a bit more communicative goes a very long way towards that goal. I've spent years as a Journalist and I know that, if there's any possible way people can misinterpert something, it will happen. Hopefully, those PDA keyboards will work with the newer Palms, I can use them both! Good Morning All, (Jinx, FireOpal i see u too ) First let me apologize for the delay processing some orders. As most of you may have noticed we are changing our systems to Fedex and not everything went smoothly as expected so at lot of the delays were due to that fact. We processed all Mystery orders on 04/22 and we processed "special" and "shagged" boxes separately which is the reason these orders were only updated yesterday (we needed more time to fill in with the special contents). I can assure you all that there was no intention to fool any of our loyal customers, we set a standard which we thought was worth the value and then we make all the special boxes that are worth way more than what you paid for. (wait and you'll see... shagged boxes should start arriving anytime now) How many times ThingFling went out of our way to make everybody happy? This one will be no different! your standards need a revision.

TF clearly has a great person (or people) writing up their descriptions. Kudos to them.
Great. Or just crooked. You decide. I really don't feel that the fact is that everyone felt "deceived". It's the fact that they did not get their money's worth. Sure, if it was 2 years ago, that might be the case. But with most of the cellphone lights DOA, I think that really upset everyone too. They feel they paid $16 for TF's trash. Now I didn't buy the box, so I'm just listening to the PMs I get and to this thread. TF, I think we are all begging you to save the company and go back to free shipping. I think that also had a LOT LOT LOT to play in this. if the box was actually 9.99, and not plus $6 shipping, I think there would have been LESS Complaining. That's just my opinion though. You (TF) need to step back and save your company. You've lost tons of flingers in the last month alone, due to the shipping thing and now to this MB. Just an outsider's voice. the cost for shipping does not bother me one bit. i understand it puts thingfling out a little to pay for shipping. so yeah, everyone is helping thingfling out by paying for our own shipping. the thing that really upsets me is the value of the items compared to the cost of the mystery. i have read all the comments about a mystery package being a "gamble". i understood that i was taking a gamble when i dropped the 30 bucks and then paid shipping. i really had no idea what would come in the packages, and neither did anyone else. that was the mystery AND the gamble. the one expectation that was set from the description of the mystery was that i was going to get my moneys worth. quite a few of the people whom have already received their packages DO NOT feel as if this is the case. i've also been following this thread since it's inception. most recently shaggy has spoken. i am relatively new to thingfling and have enjoyed my stay here. shaggy you really ticked me off. yes, the items in every package are worth some money and they could possibly be resold, but never for the amount that was paid for them. the simple fact that thingfling believed they were doing their consumers right by including the items they did really worries me. i will seriously have to think about ever doing business with tf again. this is the worst mystery fiasco i have ever personally been involved in and tf's insensitive response to the consumer has been upsetting. i certainly hope this was not intentional on tf's part and i do not believe it was. my confidence in tf has totally been crushed not by the situation, but by the staff's reaction to the situation. shaggy should have really waited to respond with all of the thoughts at once instead of with the hit and miss comments he threw into the discussion. they were insensitive and not very friendly imho.

and i'm going to keep leaving my doors unlocked and appreciate the skill of the criminals who steal my hard earned valuables while i'm not looking until i'm tired of replacing my hard earned valuables. just doesn't make sense. oh yeah. because i trust the neighborhood i live in. they haven't done me wrong before.

you know why we haven't ever seen any of this stuff on thingfling? because it wouldn't sell if they put it up. i should've thought about it before i dropped 36 bucks. a mystery box is a lot of fun, but not when you're talking serious money. they too sold me with the pitch and i swung. too bad it was a curveball in the dirt, there is NO WAY you could hit a homerun off of that pitch. then again i have not received mine yet and there may be something i can use but it does not look as if i am going to get lucky. keeping my fingers crossed. and if i do get lucky it's not going to make what has happened to any of the other flingers ok in my book. the retail price of most of the packages don't even add up to the cost of one box. they'd be lucky to sell in a dollar store. looks like thingfling came across a super deal on this crap and made a profit off of their bad decision. live and learn my friends, live and learn.
