I don't know how many of you got the email from the Deal of the Day site that has the BOCs about the guy that was in Haiti during the earthquake and used his cellphone light to make his way through the rubble. I looked up the product he was talking about and dang if it wasn't them darn cell phone lights that we all have boxes upon boxes of. I couldn't believe all the credit that little light was getting. Hmmmm, now I know where to send the ones I still have.

Windows 2000 and Xp only? I'm needing a Vista-supported cam (1.3MP) that I can use on Win 7, and I know TF's going to sucker too many ppl into buying this w/o realizing it wont work with Vista......

Sorry for the issues but, well, my coding can't take the credit here. Turns out there is a major deviation from the expected functionality (aka a bug) in some rather common and sophisticated hosting software that might just come from a company that starts with "M" and ends with "T". Been banging my head for a while now because it worked perfectly on my development system. Once I isolated it, it appears they fixed the problem on the newer system (mine) -- but didn't fix it on the older systems (TF production).

Also, you will see "Upcoming Scheduled Flings" now -- but it will only show when there are scheduled flings in the next 48 hours. (There are none currently.)

Signal loss actually doesn't make much sense for a digital medium like this. It's digital -- either the bit makes it to the other end or it doesn't. So, for a digital cable to have "some signal loss" doesn't really make a lot of sense. It would be very, very rare for a cable to just drop some bits now and then -- and you'd very quickly notice from the output.

You should be able to buy almost any decent HDMI cables and get exactly what went in out the other end -- even at 30-40ft.

If you need more than that then, sure, you'll want something like this.

Trying to get some sleep. We have a big update for Sunday

I flung two, one for $6 shipping and one for $4 shipping. The TF system let me do it, I even waited a few hours in between to see if the system would see my first order. I then tried to order a third for $0 shipping and it told me "NO!" so I guess two is the limit. We'll see though if TF refunds me on one of them or not. So not only do I have three mystery boxes that will ship at a mystery time, I have the mystery on whether or not that will turn back to two boxes or stay at three total. (I bought last week's box as well) So many mysteries, so much suspense!
