Received this today, and although it was a little tricky to set up, the sound is really nice. There is a very very slight bit of "noise" that accompanies the signal, but it's easy to overlook--just turn the audio up more and you can't even hear it anymore.

I took it out back to give it the real test, and it performed great, no signal loss. I haven't done a walk around the perimeter of the house yet, but I can't imagine that it wouldn't continue to work just as well.

At $30 (and heck, probably even $35 if I hadn't had a coupon), this was a great buy! The sound is incredible for a low price wireless speaker, nice highs and it can even kick out a surprising amount of bass for something its size.

This isn't going to rival any Bose setup, but if you fling expecting something that good then you are probably going to be disappointed no matter what you get. This really will be a great toy for summer--perfect for gardening and even better for entertaining.

I noticed you can use rechargeable batteries in it and recharge the unit by hooking it up to the wall adapter. That's a pretty nice little feature, but six (!) rechargeable D batteries might set you back a bit more than you want to spend.

The crystal things inside of them soak up the water and get all jelly-like. You can ring the extra water no problem. I had several of these over the years and they are pretty nice in the summer. They don't stay freezing cold, but they do hold in a nice cool feeling, kind of like when you first soak a rag in cold water.

Getting them in a big pack is nice, because the little crystals will only last so long (a year or so, if I remember correctly).

Mine is on it's way! Really impressed with the shipping time on this one, ordered on the 18th and shipped on the 21st (along with my Philip's headphones that I ordered on the 17th).
