After reading all of these posts, I am certainly growing impatient on finding out what it is. I ordered one myself.

I bought these. They are actually pretty good for the size. The price is really good. Getting two of them was nice as I keep one at the home computer desk and use it as a charging dock, and the extra one is great for work. It is big enough to sound good, but small enough to have a minimal footprint without having too much sound to disturb the workplace.
Don't expect concert sound, but for the size, it is very impressive.

Altec Lansing has decent customer service. If you call them they should resolve your problems. I had a power supply go bad and they sent me a new one for free.

Wow, I was impressed. I was not expecting much bass at all, but for what they are, they have a great sound. They are a great improvement over the built in laptop speakers. It has a nice carrying case too. Definitely worth the price. Thanks THING FLING!!!

This was my first Thing Fling. I received the IM7's today with a free pair of Altec Lansing headphones.
The system was exactly what I expected it to be and more. I am very happy with the speaker and it is very simple to use. The sound is pretty darn good for a boombox type system.
I found these same speakers at a music media chain store for 249.99. What a deal! Thanks Thing Fling!
