rileyper wrote:oh btw on that wireless network interference, they say microwaves and many other devices are on 2.4, its a popular frequency, but i have used many devices that are 2.4 like wireless mice and have never interfered with anything, but thats just my experience A lot of times you can troubleshoot to resolve interference, repositioning antennas, cycling channels (which you can do both with this device, as well 802.11b/g wifi, and each channel is a different frequency within the 2.4Ghz band). Trouble is, most folks don't troubleshoot when something's wrong, and just write a bad review saying it's incompatible. Delving deeper into the Amazon reviews confirmed my hunch, there are a good number of reviews saying they got these to coexist with their wifi and cordless phones either right away or with a little effort. SO, I went ahead and ordered a set, this might solve my problem of a sun room TV that gets used in the summer but not in the winter, and not often enough to warrant the FiOS box rental problem. I have many wifi access points throughout my house, but I really don't foresee a problem, but we shall see.

jgr789 wrote:After reading all the great reviews, I bought not one but TWO of these little chargers, however was disapointed because my sister charged her cell phone once then it doesn't work anymore and when I plugged mine in to charge it just said cannot charge...so I didn't even get one charge out of it! What's up with that??? We both have the same phone, Motorola w376g TracFone. I had very high expectations for these so-called great little chargers but now not sure what to do with these two useless devices. Any suggestions? What happens if you plug in the charge cable to the PowerSource? The indicator light should start blinking green. It is possibly you got a dud, these things happen.. Did you try out the second unit you bought? I'd wager good odds you see a different result. Anyway, if the one PowerSource really doesn't take a charge (How does it tell you "cannot charge"?) you have two options, one is shoot thingfling a helpdesk ticket and see what they say (most likely they'll replace it) or pursue a warranty claim with Duracell. It's highly doubtful the malfunction is due to the phones you're using, as the power output is the same standard 5v 500ma for everything. If it really is dead, it's probably because the internal battery for whatever reason is shot. Good luck, and no worries, those options are viable, you're not out of look, but definitely open the second unit if you've not tried it yet.

If your assertions to the properties of the material used of these covers is true--I would agree with you. However, considering that you clearly have not SEEN or USED this particular product first hand, I must say that you're making an awful lot of assumptions based on photos alone. I will let you know when I get mine.

Sinnott wrote:I bought some large sized ones, but when I went back and tried to order the small ones it wouldn't let me! A popup window said I was over my limit. I'm pretty irked since I need both sizes. Try it again in a little bit. Unless TF didn't set it right, I'm pretty sure from the description that you are supposed to be able to make at least two orders. So in your case, it might have been that you started an order you didn't complete and it temporarily was screwing with your total count. Thingfling reserves inventory for you every time you click fling me one, for about 15 minutes. So your total is also temporarily +1 while you have the reservation, but if you don't buy. it will automatically clear, this situation might happen if you had a failed transaction, etc. So, try again! Good luck.

benjaminaficus wrote:Unfortunately for me - this device was a total bust. I've tried new batteries, expensive batteries, cheap batteries and none of them seem to work. After a minute or so my iPod touch keeps doing its charging beep over and over and over in an endless unproductive cycle while the light blinks on the charger and it will not charge. The first time I tried it I got about 5 minutes of use and then it seemed to stop working even with new batteries. It was worth a try - but I wouldn't get your hopes up. I guess other users have had better luck. As for me...it's going in the trash. It sounds like you've given up? It sounds like you may have a defective unit... Why not shoot thingfling a help ticket and see what they say? These things should be under warranty as well.

Sun3296 wrote:Why the heck do I want to pay for you to pick what I get? Why can't I choose what I want? So you can send me 12 of the same ugly pink one when I wanted blue. Sorry, but this deal sucks. I want the freedom to choose even if it is dirt cheap. Thing Fling wrote:if you order less than 12 we choose the styles (yes, they will be assorted). Order 12, and get one of each.

Well, I must say, I share some of the skepticism others expressed. But whether the manufacturer's claims are true or not, the value is clearly here, they sell for $14.99 each before shipping from the manufacturer (although that site has some issues). So, at east, that's what they used to retail for. I was going to sit this one out, but I kept coming back to look them over, I'm definitely intrigued. So, I put in an order, I figure I can hand them out amongst my family, and if they're only used for even a week before people get tired of them, well, the price was right. But, I got a niece that I'm pretty sure will be livid over the hot pink one. If the claims about it coming off and on so readily (sounds like velcro strips are used), you could conceivably, use this like a case, and simply pull it off anytime you use your laptop. That might be the way I'll do it, I don't know, but for the price I'm in to experiment. Did anyone else think, these might make killer text book covers for students? lol.

umbluemusic wrote:Really, not trying to be negative here, but why would you ever put one of these on your laptop? It insulates heat, traps air from getting to your fan, and looks like 70's shag carpeting. I like the shag, lol . HarveyH46 wrote:Wow, 5 year old batteries. Was grocery shopping at Walmart, and the batteries are almost $5 for two. Just guess about the 2-packs, since both were out of stock, but most of the others were 2-packs. I've got a couple of remotes that use the 2032 batteries, and a keychain flashlight that eats 2016s. Wonder what kind of shelf life the get.
Hope they work least a little bit though, really wanted something like this for the dog. Maybe they just need to be adjusted a little...
Harvey, I buy my cr2032s nowadays (They're used often as MotherBoard CMOS batteries, as well a myriad of other hand-held gizmos) from dealextreme. If you don't mind waiting for shipments from Hong Kong, you can't go wrong for $3.66 shipped for 20 pieces bulk. I've yet to have any problems with the cells I have either. As for the tags, well I actually got a pack of these from a prior mystery box a while back. The combination of wondering about the pairing process, whether to get more, and Devilish's negative comment inspired me to go find it, open it, and try it out. All I can say, is: mine works. Yes, it is similar to bluetooth in that the receiver and the tag pair together, but the similarity ends there. The pairing process all happens automatically, just pull the tab on the tag's battery compartment, then switch the receiver to short or long, and put them next to each other and they pair. I did tests, leaving the tag on my table, and walking around with the receiver--it definitely works, it's neat too, because it's like hitting an invisible wall, once you get the predetermined radius out, it begins beeping, and it definitely stays sharply confined to that radius, you can walk back and forth and it'll start sounding exactly where it started before. My only complaint would be that the beeping is relatively slow in its interval, it's not so much an alarming obnoxious alarm as you'd imagine, but more like a gentle alarm from an electronic wristwatch. I think it's more useful for reminding you you've forgotten to take your electronics, or dropped them, than it'd be for theft situations, but possibly it could, it's just not as useful since the tag doesn't make the noise, but the receiver.

What kind of disrespectful moron do you have writing these descriptions? Way to insult your customers. That insulted you? Sure, it was phrased oddly, but I think the intended message was clear: it's cheap and cheap enough to buy on impulse. You're the one calling names..
