Sorry I skipped 23 pages of replies and went straight and posted this. I don't think this makes big difference for most customers. Since most people just check TF during the day(or night or whatever) and if they see something, they snag one. I don't think a lot of people buy multiple items on a normal day anyways, especially when an item lasts for 4-5 hours. There ain't too many 4-5 hours per day. However, this is good one of those good promotion days where many items are on sale in a day. And I'm glad that this change can finally get rid of all the "free shipping" in your product descriptions, to quote the Queen herself. "There is no free lunch."

decent quality, kids love them.
PS. they are a lot smaller than they look in the pictures.

You all should stop comparing it to a standard web cam, they fit different purposes. Webcam is attached to a PC and thus most aptly suited being used for video chat type purposes.
This is wifi, thus wireless and has probably decent range. First thing that sprung to mind for me was finally making that front door video monitoring system I always wanted..... A good baby monitor, or nanny cam I am sure too.
Well not for me, this time, but a nice product if you need it, I think. True the res is on the light side, but it is also true that 640x480 is not as over abundantly common in normal webcams like someone else suggested either. As for low light, well they usually don't handle low light well across the board... I laughed when I saw your post. First, even in TF's description they told us it be can used as a standard web cam, why should we not compare these two kinds? And monitoring front door/kids with this web cam? With resolution this low and no IR built-in, you probably won't even see what kind of toy your kids are playing or who exactly is knocking your front door(let alone you can see there a person knocking on your door with a low/no light at night). And the resolution comment, do a quick search on froogle/pricegrabber on webcam under 40 dollars. I doubt you can find many that is not 640x480. And the low light, i tweaked my 20 dollar web cam into an IR web cam, works great when I chat with online with my room's lights off. Plus one huge minus is the activex(IE only) control of this web cam, this throws a lot of people off. In conclusion, I hope people actually read the comments here before purchasing the this particular "high-quality" wireless web cam. Because you might end up getting something that disappoint you big time.

Quote:The lowest retail price found was on E-bay with one piece available for $59.99. For more pieces the next price was $65.00 (not including shipping). At THING FLING you pay LESS THAN 50% of the lowest retail price. That's ridiculous!! I found this most funny. Thingfling's are refurbished while those are new. I don't think you can compare that. And I found these speakers are on sale on newegg for 42.99 with free shipping and they're new. Sorry TF, got to pass. Link to Newegg

animals can definitely hear the ultrasound, it's not recommended to use if you have one of those pets. and ultrasonic and Electromagnetic pest repelling are not scientifically proven to be working.
And not sure if thingfling has the info, what is the ultrasonic intensity here? It's going to harm human if it's over a certain number.
Also, Electromagnetic Pulse that is created by this device can affect other small electronic devices within its proximity.
Last but not least, most cases I have seen is, the device works for a while, and the pests get used to the sound and eventually come back.
Fling at your own risk, I'm gonna pass on this one.

I personally don't like repeats at all, but hey TF is still new, I won't say much about that. Two things TF stood out from other DoD sites is the timer and more than one item per day. I think being able to track what time the next item will be is crucial here.
Right now I'm pretty clueless about when the next item is going to show up. Quite frankly, I don't even bother checking TF as often anymore because of that.
To the King, my suggestions are,
1. Bring back the timer, the quantity doesn't really matter imo. 2. If you want more new customers, bring in more new items instead of trying to get rid of certain items first. I know you're doing business here, but as you said in your OP, "how many Roombas can a person have?" Same thing goes to you, how many IM9 Ipod speakers/shower stuff/laptop locks/and headsets can a person have? And this is the reason people love AMBs from you, because the guaranteed item(s) in AMBs are always new. I have yet to see you guys make an Antec IM9 Ipod Speaker AMB.
So please, if you want new customers, put up more items and rotate them in a faster pace. So every time someone catches their breath from work/games and check out thingfling.com, they see something new instead of the good old "BEST IPOD SPEAKER EVER" or "Shower gels with refill!!!".
Just my 2 cents

I ordered a 99cent item almost a month ago, TF said it would send it with my other fling. My other fling came, the mystery item didn't. So they apologized and said they'd send me another one. They did send it, but I never received it. The tracking on USPS never changed from "info received". I think it's lost. E-mailed them twice, nothing back.
I ordered an anniversary AMB, so did my girlfriend. She got it and I never did. Tracking on USPS is sitll the same "info received". Probably lost again?
Well that's it for me Thingfling, great company but if you're too cheap to hire enough people to answer e-mails, then forget it.
Good luck with business, I'm out.
Peace
