Anyone know how much this thing can weigh up to? Could it be used as a postal scale, to estimate shipping weights?

oh man! I thought these were rechargable too. what a bummer. Thanks for the heads up though! Still not a bad deal, but I'm going to hold out for the NiMh ones.

This does look like a decent deal. But what I could really use is one of those portable jump start things. Got stranded with a dead battery last week.
