I've tried many different repair kits on the market and this is one of the better ones. For really bad scratches I first use a ultra fine fingernail polisher to scrub out most of the scratch. This leaves the disc in what seems to be a ruined condition though. After about 15-20 runs through this device the disc is usable again. I've rescued many a Wii disc that no one else has been able to fix.

In case you are wondering, the best unit is the ShipDr. It starts at $40 for the automatic unit comparable to this one, and is only marginally better. You can't beat this unit for this price, and it comes with a refill!

For cutting out the polisher and mystery items, you could only shave off $10?
