Amazon reviews seem to be mixed on this. I went ahead and got one since I need an antenna to get vhf stations here. My indoor antenna works well with UHF stations already, but vhf is quite mixed. This price here is half where it is at other places at least.

The big question is whether the humor value of this book is worth $8. Otherwise, there will be an Almost Mystery Box coming up with the almost mystery being a book that retailed for $50 at one time.

There's another site with the same thing. They say 31 inches from top to bottom.

This is a good deal. I've been needing to get a battery for my old one, which is an 825VA battery backup. Figure you can get 30-60 min backup time, depending on the devices you have attached. In my case, I could get 30 min since I had an aging Sun desktop and hard drive array attached to mine. Definately get this instead although I don't think I'll throw out the old one yet. A new battery for the old one still runs roughly $20.
Now if you want a bad one, I also have a 325VA one. Had to turn on devices at least 5 seconds between each one or it goes ballistic. I gave roughly 5 min, but that is good to have when power goes out and you can shut things down quickly.

Well, off-hand I don't know how far you are from each place. I only suggest putting up the antennae and checking how it works. For me, without the amplification, the indoor antennae gets around 40% feed. That is enough to get a video but decent amount of blocking too. With the amplifier get 66%, which gets a good picture with no to very little blocking.
Finally, a lot of stations will be turning off their analog signals in a couple weeks, even if official date gets pushed back. When that happens, the digital signals will be running at full power, so you'll definately get a better signal then anyways.
And finally, make sure to rescan your tuners if you use over the air signals since many stations will be changing their frequencies.

The official date looks like it'll be pushed back to June, however, it looks like many stations are going ahead and turning off analog broadcasting in a few weeks anyways. They don't want to keep having to broadcast in two formats which is more expensive than just one.
For the item, I have no idea how good it is, but I paid this much for an amplifying indoor antenna.

The date is listed on the very bottom of the battery (around the - side). Mine have a date of April 2013. Other than that, I now have plenty of batteries for emergencies.
And none of mine were corroded either.

MzShyStee wrote:Not a bad price...question is can the refills be purchased anywhere.? Just a quick check on ms live cashback looks like you can get 6 refill pads for $5 + shipping. Fortunately, there are a few sites that have them. I would suggest just getting 3 now, but vaporizers get used so rarely have no idea how long you'll have the pads with you.
