This is probably a stupid question, but what is a woot-off? I have only checked out thier site a couple of times, never finding anything good, and right now their site is running super slow, so after the fly light finally loaded, I closed that tab. Does your kids' school have a Circle of Friends? Circle of Friends is a social mentoring program based in schools pairing students with special needs with their regular education peers. It will change your kid's life in a positive way! Go to: www.buildingthecircle.org to learn more. What is Y.E.S.S.? Find out here: www.arc-sedgwickcounty.org/YESS.htmlDid you know that 1 in every 150 children in America has an autism spectrum disorder?Visit www.autismspeaks.org for more info on autism.

Try this link. It is for a tracker that will auto update the items during the Woot-off. http://www.bagsofcrap.com/external/picture.html

thanks - I tried it and thought it was out dated then I went back to the woot page and found out it doesn't automatically load the new item when the old item is gone, like it does here. The gold bar underneath the item for sale is a sale indicator. It progressively declines as the item sells out. Sometimes it can take a moment or two for new items to be displayed. As I said their servers suck.

Eh... Woot-off... I've been through two woot-offs and I have NEVER bought a single item yet. Most of those Wooters are just trying to get the "Bag of Crap" in hopes of getting a big-ticket item like a Big Screen TV, which has been given out a few times. But, I've read through the forums that even those who didn't get a TV got some pretty decent stuff. Just to give you an idea, here is a link to a list of PAST woot-off items, how long they sold for, how many, and at what price, etc.: December 2006: http://wootoff.wikispaces.com/December+2006
November 2006: http://wootoff.wikispaces.com/November+2006
and more can be seen by clicking on the links on the left... I've got class tomorrow and since Woot never offers anything to my taste, I won't be sticking around the site much. 25 flings and counting! THING FLING...THEY'RE GGGGREAT!

And with that I guess that would be to each his ( or her ) own. Because I have bought several things and been very satisfied. Even if I wasn't able to obtain a BOC I scred to good items and had a good time. I was asked for my opinion and I just expressed it. Sorry your experience wasn't as entertaining. Maybe next time.

Do the BOC usually come up at a certain time during the woot-off or is it just totally random? Does your kids' school have a Circle of Friends? It is truly luck of the draw with them in all ways. You have not idea if they will have one or what you might get in it. But you know how that works. We are spoiled here in Flingdom where you have an idea of what you are getting. This is truly a MYSTERY! I'm in it for the fun so if I get anything big it is just a bonus.

Oh, no! I don't mean to threadcrap or be negative. I was just telling of my experience, which is nothing, since I have yet to buy from them. Sorry if I wasn't clear or my words came out in a negative tone. i just wanted to let the new woot-OFFers know what items they may come across if they decide to skip their sleep in hopes of a good deal on the things Woot is selling off. I am in the market for a nice speaker set... maybe they'll sell some of those "Mystery Brand Speakers" (which are Dell, lol) again this time around while I happen to glance over at their site. 25 flings and counting! No offense taken. I just managed to get quite a few things for X-mas gifts this past year. I was Moms favorite child this year thanks to the Cuisinart Grind & Brew w/ Thermal Carafe all in stainless steel to match her new kitchen. That made it all worth while. She is such a coffeeholic. LOL. Hey don't think I haven't dropped my fair share dough right here either. I think I am now at 22 orders. I need to be stopped. Or so my husband thinks anyway.

Since this seems like the thread to get King mad by talking about other sites, anyone ever try chick chock? They have a mystery bag up today for $1 http://www.chickchock.com/
Just paid off all my bills, so I'm hesitant to pull the trigger

I have seen the Woot-offs, but never purchased. For some reason I can control the 'Buy One' urge on all websites except for the Fling. The King & Queen just treat their subjects so well, I think it is subliminal Thing Fling (buy, buy, buy) is a good site (buy more, buy more) thank you for visiting (buy before you leave!)

Just paid off all my bills, so I'm hesitant to pull the trigger Just an FYI.......reading thru the posts at Slickdeals it appears that this ChickChock deal might not be worth it. jonrad wrote:Pst, here's a secret between just me and you (And anyone else who has internet access) http://www.zerodaydeals.com and http://www.dealsucker.com aggregate DoD sites and post the items and there prices for you. Thing fling is actually the only one that I actually getting involved in, with the forums and such. Here is another "deal of the day" collector site. I like it better than the two you mentioned. Has a much better/easier layout. And its real time too. For example when the thingfling deal changes it is listed at this site within about 10 seconds or less. And here is yet another "deal of the day" collector site. But I don't use it much.....if at all. Has a terrible layout. If at first you don't succeed.......don't attempt skydiving
Never argue with the ignorant.......they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
