I was posting something on the w**t forum and had to do a doubletake to my own post. If you type in their forum the phrase "mystery box" it automatically changes when you post your message to "Crappy Deal box"  I thought it was funny! I wonder what other words get changed?  At Thing Fling, you get what you pay for... and then some!

Woot has become the new Gestapo!! The completely censor thier boards. And not for any type of language or such. They delete any posts they don't like or that make them look bad. It is total dictatorship!! Unlike our Monarchary here where the rulers listen to their subjects. DOWN with censorship ( and WOOT)!! Long live the King and Queen.

It has long been true that if you type in "boc" there you will see "bundle of carrots," "box of chocolate" or whatever the current euphemism happens to be, which is how there is so much consistency to references to the "Bag of Crap." I did not know they used macros for any other combinations, but it is sad if they fear competition. Competition is the key to commerce of any kind. And Woot really invented a clever marketing strategy...maybe someday their customer service will improve, but right now ThingFling is the winner in the customer satisfaction category.

I go to a few deal sites. And they all censor some other deal site(s) in the forums.
I don't think they realize that people go to many different sites. So no matter what a quick Google search will give me hundreds of deal sites. I don't understand why don't they just co-exist together. There plenty of money to go around.

I don't get too upset about a website censoring their forum, especially if it's just word substitution. It is a bit 'chicken' though. However, speaking of that website, if they are going to censor, I wish they'd censor the jerkos who always post "Boo! Bring on a bag of random broken stuff!" or "I don't need it, so it sucks!" type posts every night at 3 seconds after 0100 EST. And yes, though I have bought a few things from that site, I also look and shop elsewhere as well. Flingedthings:

I can't afford after all my X-mas shopping! I did manage to snag a Dirt Devil vac-mop that I wanted for 19.99. Sold out in about 30 seconds thoght, I really got lucky. They only sold 50 of them. But so far there haven't been to many items I needed. But wtf I will hang in there anyway.
