Hm, what browser? I use Firefox, and not only is double scroll gone, but reload no longer sends me back to main page. Some serious upgrades are obviously underway.

Firefox here also. I just use the workaround (and have been for awhile now) after opening the forums on the home page I right click one of the boards and open it in a new tab.
It clear the ThingFling background and just lets me view the forum without anything else in the way.

Hm, you're right. I have the forum bookmarked and keep two tabs open for TF. Guess this is not the default, though, is it. Well, whatever works.

Double scrolls still here in IE(7). An IE shortcut to refresh is right click somewhere in the discussion and click refresh from the context menu to refresh the current topic. (I also use the dual tabs for navigation although the upper breadcrumbs help sometimes.) What free gift? Over 70 Flings and counting, still no free gift!

Thanks for the info - by right clicking - open in a new tab - that solved the problem of the double scroll bar and the booting when I hit refresh. I finally realized TF is using frames for the forum, which is what causes problems with refreshing, screen width and a double scroll bar. Escape the frame and the problem goes away, but it would be nice if they just avoided framing in the first place.
