What would be nice in the next TF ver. is on your previous orders list, listing the item name/description.

After ordering so many items so close together, I forget what is on it's way and what hasn't shipped. I find it hard to remember what order number stood for what item bought. d'oh!
At Thing Fling, you get what you pay for... and then some!

LOLLaughing

That is fine if you listed something once! But, you guys post the same items sometimes twice in the same day!

I can't remember if I purchased it already or not and let a few slide thing I did and missed them because I could not tell what I purchased already! Think

old age setting in @ 39 i guess? Rolling Eyes

King,

I had a bunch of misc. ramblings spitting out the other day.

A few folks tossed out some other ideas/suggestions and the such.

Why don't you take a few minutes and peruse my rambling post and toss some feedback in on what we have come up with so far.

I love the site and the great deals. Keep up the good work! I've listed some ideas in various posts - what I can think of again I will throw them in on this page also.

1. Forums: (most of these ideas come from the setup at SlickDeals.net's forums)
a. continue visiting the forums and talking with us
b. make it so we can see more than 5 topics per page
c. make them sortable by time started
d. make it so when you hit refresh you stay in the same topic instead of being booted back to the main forum menu
e. get rid of the dual scroll bars (side of page & side of forum)
f. give us an edit button so we can correct stuff after we post it
g. continue visiting the forums and talking with us

2. Flings
a. no more super long flings on items that going to be slow sellers (almost mystery box 5, flashlights...)
b. set maximum time limit you will list any fling per day - maybe 12 hrs? 8 hrs? (other people please comment on this)
c. keep the "upcoming flings" section updated so I have an idea of what I am going to be tempted to buy
d. more pictures of the items would be nice
e. if we could click on the "upcoming flings" list and get more info about the items before they are listed would be great so we could do some research on the items, especially if there aren't very many available.
f. give approximate time when items in the "upcoming flings" section will be for sale so I know if I need to set my alarm clock for the middle of the night.

Ok, I am about to fall asleep at the computer - stayed up too late the last few nights on this site - going to bed now. will add anything else I think of later.

Everybody comment on my ideas and add you own. Let's help them make this site even better than it already is. It is already a great place! Keep up the good work and great deals TF!

One more suggestion, can we have a link to the forum topic for the current product right on the home page pls? I think more people would comment that way and it's more convenient. Thanks!

Does the queen sleep? Or did you do something wrong and the king made you sleep on the couch, so it was a restless night? Shame on you

I am mixed on the length of slow sellers...It gives the Fling crew a break to catch up on the hot items and it gives me a chance to visit the outside world! Even though I find myself drawn back over and overBad Grin

I like the thought of having the forum as page rather than a subpage. It is hard to follow at times (Had a lot of trouble during the Triva Bowl). I agree with refreshing the forum and staying on that forum page you refreshed...I was booted back to the main forum during the trivia many times d'oh! And seeing the length of listing for upcoming would be nice!

Thanks for listeningSmile

I like how we can go to "My Account" then see the "My Orders" section but it would be nice to have a few more features there. I agree with the others that it would be nice to have what item we ordered listed. A couple of other things that would be nice would be if we could delete the orders from the list after we receive them and if we could just click on the tracking number and be taken directly to the status of the item or at least to dhl's website.

I love how in the mystery boxes you throw in extra items as "packing material", but as rough as dhl is with packages, some actual packing material like styrofoam peanuts or wadded up newspapers would be nice to minimize the damage that dhl inflicts.

Going to start using one of the shredders for newspaper next week. Plan to use it for stuffing the boxes. Hope this will help !

Maybe it would be good to have a "User Request Day" where the Users would vote on the Items that they weren't able to get the first time around.

Just a Thought,
