I got the GE Card Reader too. My $6 back is actually 2 $3 off coupons that cant be used together. Doubt But the Card Reader is Cool. It is worth $34.99 at the GE outlet Store so not a bad deal at all. Applause

Unfortunately like quite a few others the 19-in-1 Card Reader is useless as it doesn't support SDHC (larger capacity). I've been scouring for firmware updates but haven't been successful as of yet. Crying or Very sad Ah well, still have the $3 coupons.

The model number is 97949 for those curious.

Just so happens that the card reader is quite useful for me - as someone else pointed out, it fits neatly into the laptop bag, and luckily, my digital camera is old enough that it won't handle SDHC either - so this reader will handle anything my camera can. No more having to take a stack of cards along - I can off-load them with this reader. Applause

This is NOT as good as the one at Walgreens. Just look at what is in the Walgreens description:
Easily transfer photos of music to your computer
The one I got can certainly not do that!

But, I also found that my OS is incompatible with the Walgreens model. It says:
Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP of later
Well, who can possibly have an OS that hasn't even been relaesed yet? I do like the concept though - the XP OF LATER!

gosh darn it, i recieved the dumb card reader today, and on the BS list of items in the back it doesnt list SDHC, which makes it worthless, i allready have like 5 of these non SDHC compatible readers here and theyre junk since i have so many cards that are 4gb +. well at least i got a extra mini usb cable, those are usefull

oh well...
good job thingFling you successfully milked me again as well as forced me to buy something else with the coupons, hopefully youll have something that doesnt look like its from the dollar store and the bargin bin from a local walgreens sometime soon.

BTW my model number is 98780 if it matters, i noticed the above is different.

I got my box today, and got Shagged! Besides the card reader (which I can use for the CF cards in my SLR) I got:

Is it just me or are almost all the people talking about the "mystery items" whiny little bitches??? Think I just can't help to wonder if these people think "Oh WOW!! A $4.99 MYSTERY ITEM!! It's just gotta be a 52 inch plasma screen TV with free digital cable for life!" How stupid can you be. I bet these flingers buy lottery tickets and then yell at the cashier when they don't win the jackpot.

P.S. I got the card reader and I think it's FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC!!! I used it and thought it was great, the drivers loaded quickly and it works lightning fast. Of course I still use the plain old SD cards because I download my pics regularly as to not need a bunch of storage space.Applause

Well, my package arrived today... or rather... the envelope did... I opened it up, and nothing was inside!! So don't hate on the card reader, at least you got something!!

Seriously though, I already sent a letter to the help desk... it was amusing and annoying at the same time, but I certainly would be pissed if I had spent a large amount of money on this mystery, and got nothing but a empty envelope.

Oh well, it's Smartpost's fault, not that of TF, I'll order here again Smile

FedEx was taking FOREVER to deliver my shipment. Finally, I arrived home from work and was greeted by a box. I got the card reader too. Not sure that I have a use for it at the moment but with the coupons I don't regret springing a measly $4.99 on a Mystery Item.

The really excited news is that for the first time I GOT SHAGGED!!!!!
My extra items:
1. Pack of 10 CD & DVD cases.
2. Gold plated coaxial cable.
3. A Mobility USB PC security lock.
4. 4 solar power garden lights. (A gift for my parents!)

and the most exciting of all....

5. A Spongebob Squarepants PS2 game controller!!!

well, i got the card reader, too. no complaints; took it to work, where i still have a pc that doesn't have a card reader built-in. no complaints Smile well, except that it looks like the SD card slides in the same side where the power cord is. no big deal having to turn the unit to use it Smile

OK - I guess I must explain.

Sometimes I find typographical errors to be somewhat humorous. In this case, Walgreens meant to say "photos OR music." Instead they posted, "photos OF music." HA-HA, HEE-HEE. Their second faux pas should have been "XP OR later." Instead, they had "XP OF later." It almost sounds like a product that Microsoft might try to peddle - "What version of XP do you have?" Jack asked of Jill. Jill replied, "The XP of later of course." HA-HA,HEE-HEE. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

So Just to be clear... The card reader you received did not have a USB connector connected on about a 1"- 1.5" wire.?? Correct me please, anyone, if I am wrong... They did not come with separate usb cables, or at least mine didn't. Just a little 1"-1.5" usb connector that is part of the card reader itself. YMMV
