Altho I wrote earlier on liking the MB's, I have been totally disapointed in the last 2 , so with that being said I'm not ordering those anymore. The socket sets and the Craig stuff which is not good quality. I'm not sure who thinks this stuff up but atleast u should be throwing in at least one worthwhile piece. If u were gifting yourself I don't think u would want this stuff. Sad

Yup Not talking mystery boxes are not in my future either Crying or Very sad ...Although I enjoy them, and I get as much good stuff as, well, not so good stuff Think , my wonderful beautiful wife has mentioned that sleeping with the fishes could be in my future if I have one of these THINGS sent to our address again Shame on you ... Normally I would say that I can order whatever I darn well please Laughing , but I would be telling a not quite truth Liar ... But ya'll are welcome to enjoy yourselves in this manner. Hmmm, maybe if I have one of you purchase these and send them to me as a "gift", naaa, Doubt ...

I believe there is a free clinic downtown that will help you survive the withdrawal with some (I have been told Shhh ) "special" drugs Dancing . I am told that life can go on Brick wall , whatever.

I've pretty much reached my limit on mystery boxes too, but it's not due to dissatisfaction; it's more like I've reached my saturation point of random gadgets. I had some certain things in mind to obtain when I joined about eight months ago and I've gotten almost all I wanted from ThingFling, as well as some things I didn't know I could use. But now, practically anything else I get would probably be redundant.

But ThingFling probably works best if it has a frequent turnover of customers. It must be tough trying to keep old-timers intrigued and new customers excited.

Sadly, I have to agree. I've been disappointed on a few occasions now. It seems the bang for the buck is far from what it once was. Also, as stated, and most importantly, it's the same stuff again and again. I'd almost chance it if it was going to be a surprise, but that no longer happens. I have way too many duplicates, of items that I'd never use, that weren't worth the cost of the MB or AMB. There's a possibility, albeit slim, that I might go for an AMB if the item is a good buy for the price, but it's not likely. As for a total MB, those days are gone. It's still a great site, but I can't put myself into anymore situations where I feel like I'm literally throwing money away.

I think that if perhaps they were to revamp the idea, and the products, they might not lose us as customers.

I have more super glue, random cords, and pointless electronic accessories (that I don't own) than anyone would ever need.

TF, have a meeting about changing the quality of your products, and more bang for the buck. I want to feel excited about MBs again!!!!

I always wondered why Thing Fling's website didn't crash when the MB came up and also wondered why they didn't sell out in 30 seconds.

Now I know...

I havent ordered a MB from TF since the "Infamous" poker watch, cell phone lights MB. They said something about an "owe me one" button in their apology letter back to me, but I wasn't surprised to see that it is nowhere to be found.

Aside from the BOC at Woot, I don't know of any other sites that sell out their Mystery Boxes in under a minute but then the Woot BOC is priced at $1 so I am sure that other places would sell out if they matched that price. The problem with the BOC is that you really do get crap most of the time and many times it is broken crap that has been returned to Woot due to missing parts or being defective. I have seen many free items at other sites that didn't sell out.

I gave up on the MB's sometime this summer when I realized I have about three boxes filled with power strips, docking stations, and other things I don't ever see myself using.

BTW, if anyone has a Palm Treo and is looking for a real nice docking station with stereo speakers, let me know!

Actually, while the Woot 'bandoleer of carrots' (BoC) sells at $1, if you only buy one you're still paying $5 shipping. So purchasing one is more expensive.

5 bucks...how bad could it be...
65 Flings!!! and counting

In a small Texas town, a new bar/tavern started a building to open up their business. The local Baptist church started a campaign of petitions and prayers to block the bar from opening.

Work progressed, however right up till the week before opening, when a lightning strike hit the bar and it burned to the ground.

The church folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the bar owner sued the church on the grounds that the church was ultimately responsible for the demise of his building, either through direct or indirect actions or means. The church vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection to the building's demise in its reply to the court.

As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork. At the hearing he commented, "I don't know how I'm going to decide this, but as it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer, and an entire church congregation that doesn't."

Every morning to cheer myself up, I create a computer file and name it Barack Obama. Then I move it into the recycling bin and hit empty the recycling bin...the computer always leaves his fate in my hands by asking.....
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO GET RID OF BARACK OBAMA?
I firmly click yes and smile

Love the humor Zach.Applause

But you can donate the stuff you don't need and take it off on your taxes. I donate stuff to the local school , the community theater and a rehab place that was doing a raffle. I got a great tax break. You can taske the value of the item, not use what you paid. Those tounge cleaners and flossers can go to DEFACs or to a prison ministry. Again, deductable. My church does a basket for the DEFACS kids for Easter, and we include little stuff that can be used along with the candy. Just FYI.Think
