I got an email that my AMB was shipped today, so thought I'd start a thread. On October 16, ThingFling offered five Almost Mystery Boxes. Since there were limited quantities of each, I thought I'd group them all together.

The guaranteed items are:
Kronus Home Maintenance Tool Kit

Phillips SHN9500 Noise Canceling Headphones

Linksys WMP54GR Wireless G PCI Adapter

Coleman Powermate 5-in-1 Air Compressor

Kameleon 8-in-1 Remote Control

I ordered the Linksys wireless adapter. My tracking number refers to a USPS delivery, so I don't have any weight or estimated delivery time.

Just out of curiosity, how does one know if they're shagged, when it comes to mystery boxes? I've never been shagged at all, so I'm not sure how it works. Is it just an assumption if you feel extra items were included, or is there a notification in the box, letting you know you were shagged, and specifying which items are associated with the shagging?? Again, just curious, since I've not had the pleasure yet.Crying or Very sad .......Still hoping though.Pray

When I opened the box, there was a 8x11 peice of paper with a orange banner at the top with white letters saying "You've got SHAGGED!"

The text of the note says:

Way to go, thank you for supporting ThingFling and our community. We hope to see you participating on our forums as we love to see our community growing.

ThingFling's Royal Court hopes you enjoy your purchase and all the little extras.

We don't expect anything in return except (I won't lie):

ThingFling loves feedback!

And if you walk the extra mile by telling all your friends and family about us, we won't complain either.

Sincerely,

Shaggy Fling

Then off to the side is a handwritten not saying "Let us know about your shag experience. Enjoy it!!

Other people have been shagged by LadyFling but I am very happy being shagged by Shaggy. My kids keep asking me to stop telling everyone "I got shagged" since people might take it the wrong way, but I'm having a blast telling my mom, dad, sister, neighbors and any one who will listen about the great "Shag-a-delic" box I got.

I think I really need to learn how to post pictures in a forum. It would have made this messge a lot easier to just post a picture.

Got my home maintenance AMB today. I am very pleased with the mystery items; 1 jumbo universal remote, 1 small pillow, 3 night lights, 1 portfolio, 1 set of 4 solar powered outdoor lights. I will be able to use all of these items. The only weird thing about the mystery items was the legal pad inside the portfolio seemed to have sustained significant water damage. No big deal, I just threw out the pad and kept the folder.

The Home Maintenance box has a couple of significant problems. The first thing I noticed upon opening it was that it was missing the adjustable wrench. I then pulled out the hammer to see if it felt well made, but I noticed that the head was scuffed heavily from use. It looks as though the screw driver heads have been used as well. I went back to check the description and make sure it wasn't advertised as refurbished or something that would explain the wear and missing part. It was described as Brand New. I probably wouldn't bring up these flaws if only one of them had occurred, but I figure two flaws that could be considered fairly significant probably ought to be addressed.

Anyone else have similar issues?

I got the same. Almost bought the CD holders when they were offered so I was glad that one was in there!

My PCI Wireless G card box also had the same bonus items, except my Phillips headphones weren't broken. Since the network card itself was a pretty good deal, I can't complain. But I am envious of PaulaG's shagging. That's quite a haul! Congrats!

Hmmm....I can see why that would cause some confusion! You pick up the phone, excited and slightly out of breath. He answers, and you yell out "I got SHAGGED!!!" Shock Shock Shock

Gee, I wonder what went through his mind!

Still waiting on mine. For some reason, it sat most of the week in a distribution center before FINALLY making its way out yesterday. Maybe in the next day or so!
