If you received the Philips phone then the cord is attached and wqrapped around the oustside rim and anchored in the back. As for the Cd-rom ir should be in the part of the package hiolcing the phone and the carrying case...hope this helps

sedinger414 wrote:looked again, no cord or cd-rom.just a nice lemony smell. You sure? I thought mine had no cord too, but it's wrapped around the phone, in the little gap between the front and the back. It's hidden rather well. It does not detach from the phone, so it should be there. The CD is underneath the phone in the white insert that held the phone. You have to put your finger in the hole on the right half of it and lift up. It opens up, which is where the CD and quick start guides are hidden. If you still have no CD and no cable, you should contact customer service for help.

The USPS tracking system isn't exactly robust. I've never gotten anything other than "the data's been submitted" for any package sent USPS.

I bought two of these and both were the Philips Skype phones. One was DOA and one seems to work fine. Does anyone know if TF or Philips will replace the bad one? I know it's a lot to ask for on a mystery item, but still. Thanks.

When you plug in the phone via usb, is the phone led suppose to light up? Also, are the buttons suppose to work? I tried skype's test call to the phone and it did not ring, but I could hear the message/instructions from Skype. I also tried pressing the numbers, talk and off buttons but nothing. I'm just wondering if I got a lemon?! ok...i installed the drivers, etc using the cd ... ... the buttons now beep when pressed but do not affect any actions in skype. Any suggestions? Fling #1: The Return of the $10.00 Mystery Box (x3) Fling #2: Keep Cool (Downz) 24 Sets (as others have stated, "Set of 24" Fling #3: 3 LED Strips with 4 Lithium Batteries FREE (x3) Fling #4: $8.59 Mystery Item - One item, one mystery

Use the drivers from Philips website, not the CD and download the newest Skype software too. Here is the Philips support site for the phone: Philips USB Internet Phone. There is the driver software and a diagnostic tool for the phone. Verify the model number, I'm pretty sure we all got the same phone.

Hi All, I'm sorry I didn't post my SHAGGING earlier, it's been kinda bad around here. My 90 year old grandmother died Friday while I was trying to get home from North Carolina. I didn't make it in time but I know she knows I really tried to get there. One of the only bright spots in that whole rotten day was finding my shagging when I finally got home. Thank you so much Shaggy and TF, your timing couldn't have been better. I'll post a list when I can finally sit and do it. Right now I'm going to the Funeral Home for the viewing then funeral tomorrow. Thanks again! Greek

Also, is there an led light that is suppose to be lit on the phone when you plug it in or something (just trying to figure out if all the functions are working properly or not)? Thanks all...I'll have to wait till I get home to try any other suggestions though. I probably wont use it because I havent ever looked into Skype, but it's cool none-the-less. So can ionly talk to other skype users (I need to read more about Skype and see how it works)?

I know for sure that it does not do anything when you simply plug it in.
