We did have one more that broke a year or 2 ago. Our home just can't function with 1 phone. Especially, when the teenager uses it for hours and leaves it off the charger. Those days, we had NO phone. I couldn't wait any longer and broke down and bought a set of Panasonic's last weekend.

You need to put this site ito your favorites, and check in 10 times a day to see what is currentally for sale. You have the countdown timer as a rough estimate of time left on current item, and "upcoming Flings" on the right side of page...sometimes. The merchadise is close-out lots, so the prices are unbeatable. Now that the phones are gone {or do they have more stashed?}, you just have to wait and see if and when they show up. If you Really Really Really want these exact primo set of phones now, you can go somewhere else and pay full price. Or you can hang around here and see if they come around again.

You forgot to mention to check on eBay, because I'm sure there are some for sale there... most things from TF end up on eBay, since a portion of their customer base is resellers.

Just FYI, I've bought a very similar Philips phone recently from a big electronics retailer and have experienced the same battery issues. Its not TF, its Philips. Most manufacturers seem to use the cheapest batteries when included in the product. If you buy these phones, just be prepared to put out the extra money for some good rechargeables and maybe a charger.

krhamit wrote:Swap the batterys out. Sometimes batterys that have sat around too long dishcharged will form an internal short. You have other aaa nimh? Use a voltmeter to find the dead cells. They can be saved by flash burning the internal short. Take a 9 volt battery, and a jumper wire. hook the jumper to the positive of the 9 volt. Hold the negative of the 9 volt against the negative of the aaa. Now strike the + alligator clip of the jumper against the + of the aaa, like striking a match. The short will be vaporized. Now test the voltage, should be about 1-1.2. Now the short has been cleared, it needs a full charge. I had 3 cordless phones, bought refurbed, hat had non function batterys just like yours. Each battery pack was 3 cells, connected by welded tabs. I found the one dead cell in each pack, flashed them as described, and charged those up. Saved at least $45 dollars for new battery packs. Thanks for the tip krhamit. I was able to salvage 7 out of 8 batteries I had lying around.

I haven't been able to use them. I charge them fully and take them off the charger when the battery says they are full, but the second I press talk to try to make a call, the phone turns off.
Anyone else with this problem?
Royal Court, can you do anything about this or do you know anything about this problem?
Thanks. Same problem here. Battery shows fully charged, talk for about 10 minutes and the unit dies. Its happened on 3 of the 4 phones so far. Haven't tried the 4th yet.

i've NEVER purchased a WORSE cordless phone system. the batteries absolutely SUK! i'm anal about directions. i charged them for more than 24 hours. each handset lasts a mere 20 minutes max off of the charger. talk on it and you're down to 10 minutes. my old set that i gave away to a neighbor would last for days off the charger. i'm very disappointed in this purchse. i will be sending them back. i shouldn't have to go to radio shak or anywhere else and buy batteries, or hook wires up and test the battery charge. this is crap..................

I am having a problem with the caller id is anyone elese having a problem. All I get is the name but the number does not show up, even when I go back to call list is just shows the name. I tried checking settings but could not find anything that made a difference. My old phones would show the name and number at the same time.
