per sual, my status still said processing, but i had a knock on the door at 8 this morning from the fed ex guy.

here's what i got:
1 thingfling light up personal fan
1 universal pda leather case
1 broken pair of crappy looking studio headphones, unbranded
1 altec lansing powered audio xm3120 stereo speakers for use with xm satellite receivers
1 philips prestigo universal remote - sru9600
1 altec lansing digital mini theater for ipod imv712

wasn't shagged though. all-in-all a pretty good mb.

thanks thing fling!

**edit**

the video feature of the digital mini theater will not work with the ipod classic. you can listen to audio and use the remote to control go through the menus but the video will not output due to the changes with the new output accessories for the classic.

The only thing on that list I might have had a use for is the Phillips remote which sells for about $80 and has mixed reviews. The iPod speakers sell for about $170 and have very good reviews and the XM speakers sell for about $40 and have excellent reviews.

So along with the other misc stuff, you've got at least $300 worth of mdse in your MB, but just the same, I'm not terribly disappointed about sitting this one out.

Hmmm... Glad I passed on this (assuming that all the boxes are like this). I kind of pegged it in a previous post when I guessed it would be some Philips or AL stuff (based on thier normal suppliers). I suppose everyone will be gushing over how fabulous a deal this is - but seriously folks - unless you have Xm or an iPod what good is all this "valuable" stuff. And enough about giving it away or selling it... What about MB items that can stand on thier OWN???

I do like the Philips remotes - I've picked several of them up on previous flings and they are terrific.

Overall - I think this MB was a little overblown. But at least it's not cell phone lights...

I'm still processing. Given this I am hoping for a shagging (though it is unlikely as I have gotten shagged on a non mb recently) because I don't have XM or an IPOD.

Granted I was planning this MB to be christmas gifts, but I don't have many friends that have either.

Oh well, MB's are a gamble, still a good assortment TF.

If they weren't for a targeted crowd, TF probably wouldn't have a buttload to get rid of. I don't think they could offer price discounts this deep if the products were so good people were leaping at them. The stuff we get is great when you can use it ...and as you said about gifting, I can usually cross someone off my christmas list for each item I get.

I am satisified about the contents of the MB - it's better than getting 1000 poker watches that everyone was talking about in earlier threads! Eh? LOL! Although I don't have an XM satellite radio, everything else can be utilized and I am looking forward to getting rid of the 4 remotes we currently use now!

One question to those of you who receive the boxes - is "signature required" a reality? Or, did anyone have their package waiting for them on their doorstep. I need to know if I should post a note on my door Tuesday (my scheduled delivery date) for FedEx or not.

Thanks for posting the contents - now I know I can really buckle down and look for/purchase a GPS since there isn't one included in this MB.Anxious

Signature is required, I just received my MB. Contents the same as everyone else. Usually I would not spend that much money one something so frivilous, but a friend of mine Flings pretty much weekly and he was sayin' how much great stuff you get. The more expensive the box the better the stuff etc... so I thought I would give it a try.
Oh, well.... Ebay here I come!

I didn't get this MB, but I have never had to sign for anything from TF.

I agree about the signature thing. why? I am disappointed with what is in there too. I was thinking there was going to be something "big". I was hoping for a GPS too. And I already have one of the remotes. Oh well, I took a chance, now I know why I am not a gambler.

I looked up the ipod thing. It retails for $349. Wish I had an ipod that did that. I got a xm speaker thing in a previous box. I guess I will have to look for a vedio ipod.

Mine is still processing, but I have to say that this will be my last MB. I also hoped they would go for 1 high end product. I really have no use for the items and hope that I can sell them on ebay. So long TF.Sad

I fell bad for the folks that dropped over a c-note on this box and are dissappinted. But let's get real here - it's ThingFling. They don't typically sell a lot of high end stuff. A lot of refurb or discontinued stuff from Philips, Altec Lansing - we all know the players...

But I have to clearly state here that I am a loyal Flinger. I'll get my refurb Dysons and Polaroid digital cameras from Woot. Yugster for the occasional MP3, and then ThingFling for thier offerings. I really don't expect TF to have GPS units, LCD tvs or the like. ThingFling is very good at what they do - I just hope that people who are dissapointed in the box take it with a grain of salt. The stuff is high end (of the stuff that they usually carry) and while not always totally useful, well worth what was paid...

I am truly sorry you feel this way, it will probably be best for you that you don't get anymore MB's. We all knew we were taking a chance going into this and while the items might be useful to you I am sure others are delighted. But, that the chance we take.

Mine too is still processing so will probably come next week sometime and I look forward to it.

I decided to humor my wife and forgo this one. Judging by the contents posted, I made the right decision, but perhaps for a wrong reason. I have generally enjoyed the AMB far more than the MB. I suppose that may mean I have grown out of my risk taking stage.
Laughing

I will make the plunge again, at least for the right AMB.

I am also very disappointed and it is my first post. I don't think I will buy any more MB. I don't have any Ipod or XM.

If anyone that got this MB wants to sell the Ipod speaker at a reasonable price, please PM me. I didn't jump at this MB and have been looking for a speaker/lcd for my ipod. Are they new or refurbs?
