Is there any way to adjust the volume on this when using as a landline phoneConfused Confused Confused Confused
It is way toooooo low. I did check on Linksys' web site and downloaded the manual. It only tells how to adjust for PC use. Would be a nice phone but useless if you want to hear the other partyWhistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle d'oh! d'oh!

You know, I am not sure about that either. I haven't taken mine outta the box yet, I am waiting to see if it will work with Skype before I spoil a good trade item. Won't even open it if not..

I suppose if you don't need a phone that you wouldn't be happy with the contents of your recent MB... but shoot... like someone else just said - as an extra phone, it's pretty decent. Granted, the volume is a bit low on regular phone lines, but all the different ringers and other bells and whistles definitely makes it a $10 gadget worth having for me. Smile

I would be more than happy to use this as a landline phone but you can not hear on it so that makes it useless for that purpose. I have tried using the speakerphone part of it also but it did not work that way either. Any ideas on how to make it work is what I am looking for.

Hmmm... not sure, but there might be something wrong with the one you've got. Think As long as I'm in a room where the TV or radio isn't on, it is loud enough that I can hold a normal conversation (although not as loud as I'd like) but when I put it on speakerphone it works great. Very loud, apparently through the speaker on the back of the thing.

Here's a question for all of y'all... anyone used it with Yahoo's VoIP yet? I read in one of the posts somewhere on here that you can manually adjust all the volume stuff on your PC when used with Yahoo. (Although that's something that I'll likely never do ... heh)

I wonder if once you adjust it once on the PC, if it leaves the volume "up" for the regular landline. Hmm... I might have to try that actually.

I wouldn't exactly write it off...I had two and sold them, made my money back to justify the whole box alone (Made about $55 which covered 4 boxes)

I like the boxes for what they are...if I can use it great, if not I give away or sell. These phones, I knew I wouldn't be able to use.

You could hang on to them for awhile, and then sell them.....Very Happy

Problem With Headset Volume SolvedApplause

It was pretty simple in playing with the phone . When you are on the landline just hit the up down center button

Works like a champ here

I got the Skype phone (another opinion inserted here) and I am way happier with the yahoo phone. The Skype phone has this wierd static on it , I can hear fine but the static will drive me crazy. The Yahoo phone, I can hear great on it and I am a picky phone person that cant usually hear anyone talking. If you play with something long enough though, usually you can iron out the wrinkles. I just need more time and less electronics!!! Been trying to work with my TomTom 910 GPS, for some reason it wont connect to internet......but give me a few hours and I will figure out what I am doing wrong Very Happy
