Anyone else buy these not long ago and are ticked off at them being free now?

lol I didn't even think about it til you mentioned it but yeah I paid 9.99for them. I am not pissed. so now they are $4 less( $6 shipping) oh well. Mine are being used and were worth what I paid. I have seen thing elsewhere that dropped in price within a week or 2 of my purchase... it happens. Sorry you are upset by it.

It just feels wrong, like a slap to the customers who buy their products, not just mystery boxes. I've only had them a month, and now people who didn't buy get them free.

I received the unit last week and tried to share an external LG DVD burner with 2 laptops. Both laptops are Dell. I can hear the "ding" as connect and disconnect the cables or switch the computer from 1 to 2 on the switch, but I don't see the DVD burner from either of the laptops. Both laptops are running XP pro.

What am I doing wrong?

You might need to go to my computer > d: drive( if that is what the cd rom drive is) right click on the cd rom go to share and then make the changes you need to. but that will allow the cd drive to be shared

The trouble is that I don't even see the drive letter. After reading baout this device on the net, it seems like the issue is with my system/configuration. I'll have to continue to figure this out on my own.

Thanks!
