BROKE down and ordered 3. Worried as many are after all the cell phone lights, poker games other numerous electronic games, cable for stuff I don't have, the PS2 stuff, and on and on. My wife today saw the poker game and said what in the world is this? Hoping this is a winner. If not, I think I am done w/ mystery boxes!

I may need a blood donor if something in these darn boxes is not something she wants. I doubt that will happen. I may have to pull the "it's my fathers day gift honey", then she says that I am NOT her father, and she owes me nothing eh. Any help from the Royal Court here would be appreciated, or a GOOD excuse for pulling the trigger on this. Oh well, life sucks then ya die. We shall see...in for three... How about a "pick your own price" mystery box sale? I see it working like this: Offer a mystery box for $10. You can buy, say, up to 5. But this time, instead of getting 5 (or less) separate $10 boxes, you get 1 box with increasingly "better junk" in it as you spend more. So for $10 you might get a few cables, dental floss and a shirt; for $40 you won't necessarily get the stuff in the $10 box, but you'll receive more valuable things, such as a few power tools and a 50 inch LCD screen (OK, I exaggerate but I think you get the idea). Any interest in that, Royal Fling staffers, or fellow Flingers?

Yeah, I ordered two of these the other day. Some of the "almost mystery" boxes were pretty cool, but the less expensive mystery boxes haven't been real crowd pleasers. Speaking of "crowd pleasers", I hope the SHAG MAN might shag my two packages just a bit! I have an 11 yr old girl with a birthday coming up...and she'd LOVE something from the KING OF SHAGS troller11
13 flings and counting......

The first time it was offered was a Thursday. Today is a Saturday. Does this mean the Box is coming up again on Monday? I think it is supposed to say 'you have until this Monday'. They previously announced that they would rerun recent items over the weekend, including the $10 MB. jim6627 wrote:why do you all go for 3 instead of just buying one? just curious, or am I missing something? judging from the description of this MB, it seems that there are three different boxes with no repeats if you order three. so my hopes are that out of three boxes, one of them will contain stuff that I find interesting. maybe one of the boxes could contain stuff that you would LOVE, but i would not care for. since the staff here seem to have a feel for what people like, i suspect that out of the three boxes, one or more would be a good fit for certain customer types... so i ordered one of each variety. and it looks like a lot of others did the same. did you? are you considering it? i imagine that if you spend the thirty=six bucks (after shipping) for all three different boxes, you would probably get more than thirty=six bucks worth of stuff that you can use, some to keep, some as gifts, and that the remainder of the items that might not be of interest to you, would be of interest to someone else... but i suspect, you would still feel like you got your money's worth for the items that you liked! not bad for something promising to be a cardboard box that costs ten bucks (plus 6 bucks shipping for up to 3 boxes.) and the stuff you don't like may just be perfect for gifts or a garage sale. just my two cents (actually thirty dollars plus six bucks shipping!) worth! did that help answer the question? or just add more confusion?

Can I show my abyssmal ignorance and ask "what's a shag" besides the obvious off-color answer?

Well, I am hooked! Got three of the $31 MB and was very, very pleased. So I broke down and got three of the $10 MB also. Hope I am as pleased with them. This is a great place to hang out. Fun to read and great "things" to buy. I have only been coming here for a few weeks and I have already bought many great things. I LOVE IT.

Not off-color here...the Fling family members select random orders and add lots of great extras to them...super values, super surprises...plus a personal note from your benefactor! It's a thrill to be selected for such special treatment...but the mystery boxes are great values and great fun with or without shagging. (Obviously, having your order shagged is the best!)

can someone post the kinds of stuff that they got with the mystery boxes? i like electronics stuff and would not care for neckwarmers, socks, toilet plungers, etc.
also, for those people who think they're getting a deal, is it the case that you're getting, for example, one item worth $50 or... 50 items $1 each? I would be thrilled, for example, if I get one 16GB sd card, but NOT sixteen 1GB sd cards... the latter is junk, though some people count by the number of plastic and total worth,... I mean, you can get $200 worth of junk for $10 and be thrilled that you got a bargain, but its still junk at the end of the day.

How about $160 noise canceling headphones, quality $100 multifunction learning remotes, along with other good stuff. Yes there are $1.00 items too, As to 16gb sd cards you are dreaming, very doubtful any DOD site puts those in a $10.00 mystery box as most DOD sites are liquidation sites. 60+ Flings

This is my second flinging experience... I got the $9.99 mystery box last time and wasn't disappointed at all... so I'm in for 2 this time... send me something nifty and interesting! (I just like getting little packages in the mail, half the time I forgot that I ordered anything and enjoy the surprise when they arrive!) (PS- to the newbies... my first box I received a no-batteries-required wind up LED flashlight/bug repeller, a "fancy" mechanical pencil in a case, & a battery operated personal fan necklace. Things I wouldn't normally think to go out and buy myself, but have actually come in useful some way or another!)

Since they offer mystery boxes ranging from less than $10 to more than $50, you can pick your price then. It's just a matter of waiting for your desired target price to come along. I think what Big77 is saying ...a Mystery Priced Mystery Box...a pick your own...if you pay $10 for the MB..you get a typical $10 MB...but if you pay say $30 (buying into three X$10) you would get the typical $30 MB and so on..so it's a pick your own MB! I kinda like that...I'm always waiting for the $20 and up ones...so if I was in the mood for a $20MB..I can buy one or I want a $50 or $60 one..I can buy one of those when the Mystery Priced MB was up! Better yet..I want a $20 one and a $60 one..I can place two orders creating my own MB! Of course if I wanted a bunch of $10 ones..then order one at a time for $10 each order! Kind of a pick your own MB day! Yeah..I like it!
At least I THINK that is what Big77 is saying anyway. Is it?
