Only thing I may use is the Yahoo phone if it works with out the computer and the bits from the screwdriver kit other than that everything else is up for trade or going on ebay. Got no use for the cables and I dont watch tv or even own a dvd player. Send me a message if you can use something. I have a shower radio that I will trade. Maybe for a notebook light or some (or one) Cool Downz?

Been lurking for a while. Can't recall if I ever posted before, but I have bought half a dozen or so (different) mystery boxes in the past year or so. This time I went all out and popped for three. I got all the same stuff everyone else got - shower radio, not the drill bits. I've never been shagged, but then again I haven't been an active member, either. I don't blame 'em. I've always gotten what I paid for. I haven't figured out if I have a use for the yahoo messenger phone, but I'll definitely play with it. When I saw the phone box I have to admit I was hoping for skype. The batch of Philips cables is actually pretty decent quality and a few of them will get used right away (I did not have a DVI to HDMI cable yet). The cables are not HDMI 1.3 rated, but that's okay by me for computer use. The antenna stand will be used immediately since I have an enclosed entertainment center that 'kinda' leaks my wireless signal out of it's 1" solid oak walls. My two year old immediately claimed one of the bigger flashlights and the clock radio so he's happy too. Thanks for another fun mystery box! I can't buy them all, but it's a great concept and I'm definitely hooked. 7 A/MB and 1 'standard'
I've Flung $377.39

I got the phone and the light up usb cable. I'm not sure I can use either so my first time fling was rather disappointing. Kinda like getting a crocheted toilet paper doll for Christmas.

The Citi Screwdriver/Ratchet is 1 pound as someone else got it as part of a 3-MB 13 pound package. It looks like you and I are getting the same "extra" weighing 2.2#. As far as what it could be... I guess I'll find out on Tuesday..

This was my first ever Thing Fling purchase, I had registered quite some time ago but never bought anything. They sent me a coupon for $10.00 off this Mystery Box purchase (a promo to get me to place my first order IF I ordered three and paid shipping - so $26 for three). I never ordered prior because of the fiasco with the last Mystery Boxes but thought I would give this one a try since my husband orders all the time. Plus the coupon was attractive. (I noticed it expired in July so I assume there will be more Mystery Boxes to come).
I did not get shagged, so they say, I got pretty much what everyone else did and sold the cables, linksys antenna, lighted usb cable and Yahoo phone to my neighbor for $70.00 and kept the shower radio, flashlights and one of the cables (I needed the DVI to DVI - that right threre alone was worth $30.00 retail. Thanks, it beat the heck out of a woot bag of crap any day and I made money to boot - I'm $44 ahead.
If they are all like this I will order every time.

Thanks! Yes!! It's now daughter's house phone. Plugs into wall electric to charge and regular phone line and works just fine! Plays great ringtones (Scooby-Doo, something similar to Pirates theme and some others).

Lots of bells and whistles, indeed. I've only used it with a regular phone line so far, but it works as it should. Only thing I wish they included was an option for adjusting the volume on the earpiece. re: too low. But yeah... for ten bux, it's aiight.

It was only $10... you can't find someone that can get some use out of it? Even if I didn't need another phone, which I luckily did, I'd still be happy enough with the "value" of the box to order another one. *shrug* que sera sera

I am a little slow with posting this, it arrived Thursday afternoon. I just finally got to go through everything, it came with the 31.99 MB and the 10pk of Magnavox earbuds . Here it is: 10.00 MBx3 1st Bag( bag said 'anotherstore.com Cheaper Than If it fell off the back of a truck') Gemini 6' Lighted USB A/B cable Linksys Dual-mode cordless phone for yahoo messenger 2nd Bag( bag said 'anotherstore.com Cheaper Than If it fell off the back of a truck') Linksys Antenna Stand Box of 4 Emerson Flashlights Shower Radio 3rd Bag( bag said 'North Carolins State Highway Patrol Troopers') Philips 12' DVI Cable( I needed a dvi cable so this will be put to use immediately) Philips 12' Stereo Audio + Video Component Cable( also will be put to use immediately) Philips 6' HDMI/DVI Conversion Cable 2x Philips 3' Digital Video rg6 coax cables Again very pleased with my MB and already have plans for most of it. The cables, well most of them, will be in use by the end of the weekend as will the Linksys antenna. The shower radio my roommate will like, flashlights will get batteries and be distributed where needed( PC toolkit, Car toolbox, etc). I think the only items I have no use for are the Dual-mode Yahoo phone and the HDMI/DVI cable and I am pretty sure one of my brothers will want the cable. So all in all I feel like I made out like a bandit. Well worth the $36 and saved me from shopping for a few things that would have cost me alot more elsewhere. Thanks TF Court for another GREAT Mystery Box "I reject your reality and substitute my own" - Adam Savage, Mythbusters Flings Flung: 40 total orders- Regular items- 22 Orders, 40 items; MB/AMB- 16 orders, 23 MBs/AMBs; 2 Canceled( 1 voluntary, 1 bad batch of Batteries w/ Chargers) In 9 months of Flings I have already surpassed my purchases of almost 2yrs on that other DOD site where it's nearly impossible to get their mystery 'bag'... lol ~~Jinx

I got pretty much the same stuff as Jinx (although I didn't order earbuds or the 31.99 MB (just the 3x $10.00 MB) I think the only difference is instead of the lighted USB cable I got a flexible laptop task light. The flashlights work great and are going into immediate rotation. My daughter has adopted the shower radio as her new toy - I'm waiting a few years before I break out the yahoo phone for her to have. Going to get immediate use out of a couple of the cables, and I'll ask around to see if anyone wants the others. Don't think I'll get much use out of the linksys antenna so that and the task light will go to a good home w/ someone who can use them. Overall, I think the MB might have been worth the money, but then again I wouldn't have bought all this stuff had I had to buy it outright. However, the fun and excitement of waiting for the box, opening it up with my daughter, and having her jump for joy over all the fun stuff in there was worth the purchase - especially since this was my Father's Day gift! The cables are not HDMI 1.3 rated, but that's okay by me for computer use. The DVI-HDMI cable wouldn't be 1.3 as it doesn't carry audio and cannot meet that part of the specification. As for the actual HDMI cables, I wouldn't worry about that too much. The cable should still work with your 1.3 devices and carry every signal as even a spokesperson for HDMI (the group that established the standard) states that over 90% of cables (prior to the embrace of spec 1.3) do regardless of whether or not the cable states it will. LINK (last paragraph) I've been using generic HDMI cables for my HT setup for a while now and have never had any problems with them (and I use 1.3[a] components). I'm inclined to say that a name-brand cable would at least match a generic in quality. At the very least, an HDMI cable that fails in this capacity was the victim of shoddy manufacture.
