I guess I'm gonna HAVE to learn how to do that ebay thing......My "third bedroom" is full of boxes that I really don't know what to do with. I start doing that as soon as I get off the 2nd job tonight. Gotta pay for these addictions somehow.

I've sold quite a few items on Ebay, mostly small stuff, old DVDs and such... It's really as much fun to sell stuff as it is to buy. I just wish Ebay wouldn't take so much fees They have the insertion fee, then if it sells, you have the ending fee, and if they use Paypal, Ebay will get a small cut of that.. No wonder you see some sellers jack up the S&H fees... got to recoup somehow

It's just a more like an expensive store now. Way back when, I was addicted to the site. Man you could get stuff cheap, even with shipping. Now, it's cheaper to go to the store and pay a little less than the buy it now, and without the shipping fees.

Yeah..I was pretty surprised that it sold for that much since I'm not one that sells that type of item..I actually just copied and pasted the info from the Linksys site and amazon and snagged the pics from them..actually...it was the easiest auction I ever listed..no brainer and it paid off! I dont' normally sell much on eBay..I usually stick to my store..but this type of item doesn't work in my store since it's an antique shop so eBay was the way to go with it! I do hate their fees and the feedback policy crap though. Hey hunibuns..you're right..it is getting expensive on eBay and yep..you can buy cheaper on sale in stores..and then..resell it on eBay! I've been trying to find a large insulated coffee press on eBay and can't find one for less than $58.00! An electric coffee maker is cheaper! I'm going to have to check my local stores and see if I can find one on sale..or maybe TJ Maxx!

Good Job! You beat my final price by $4. I would have never gotten around to setting this thing up and couldn't even think of anything I would use it for. I figured selling it now was better than letting it sit in a box until it was obsolete.

Congrats Ava, The NSLU2 is an easy sell, most don't know what to do with em, but those who do want 'em bad. Anyone who still has 'em and don't know what to do with 'em yet.. another good option is putting them up on the trading thread, there are quite a few people here who are looking for them (including myself at one point, thanks again Debhem for taking care of that for me! ) Or you could break it out and actually use it too.. Not that hard.

Not that hard. Count me in on that list of wanters! Congrats on the sale ava. I'm sure you could finance your flinging by selling the stuff you don't need. There's probably even a few that aim to make a profit on the matter... Oh..I didn't know anyone was looking for these! I thought everyone here already had one! Sorry 'bout that! I'll have to peruse that trading thread...haven't looked in there...I figured I must have the same stuff everyone else has here and couldn't figure out what's left to trade... besides cell phone lights and poker watches!

Well we all have that one guilt ridden closet full to the brim with boxes of our psychosis...I mean TF stuffs right? Usually those boxes are minus anything we could immediately use, and the rest is just stuff ya might be able to use someday. So the beauty of the trading thread is you can swap stuff you might be able to use one day from your crack///TF box to hopefully receive stuff from another flinger that you could find more immediate uses for. I didn't get the LoMB that had the NSLU2 in it because for one those LoMBs were too pricey for me, and for two I've been trying to keep sober from MBs for a while now (My first in a long time was the last box) so there are people who also missed that LoMB because it was too pricey for them, or they just missed it. But also anyone who has designs to fully mod those NSLU2s is likely to be interested in multiples as well. We had a thread Tamashii started here recently talking about the things us geekoids planned to do with the NSLU2, you musta overlooked it, hmm? Haha well no need to apologize or anything it's great you recovered so much dough. I was just saying check out the trade thread as an option for anyone who still has them and want to swap it out.

I want my laser printer hooked to the network downstairs and the photo printers upstairs. Besides the fact that I'm a Linux newb and cant figure out how to set up CUPS, it's really a great little box. I do want to put some flash memory inside the box. There's tons of room in there and there's a few extra USB ports too Be really nice to not have to put a flash drive in one of the two external USB ports. Definitely no need to apologize for getting yourself a free MB The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension. 22

I was shagged on the infamous mystery boxes - and sold my extra special item, the gyration cordless optical mouse for $30, enough to cover the cost of my 3 boxes! Probably should have listed it with a higher buy it now price, but... I am happy nonetheless because I more or less broke even

What's funny is...now I'm thinking twice about letting my kids confiscate everything out of the boxes! I usually take a small item or two out of the boxes for myself...sometimes..usually it's for them to have some fun digging thru them to get what they otherwise couldn't afford to buy on their own since they don't make all THAT much money and all..and it's so nice to see the smiles on their faces as they dig! (It's a mother thing I guess) Now..I'm sitting here with that Philips noise cancelling headphones on my desk with the original price sticker of $159.99 on it...yep...I confiscated it out of the $31 MB.. suddenly no one was smiling! I'm probably going to break down and let them flip a coin for it anyway. *sigh*

If they complain you didn't actually ship it to them, just put it in a cardboard box and put their name on it and hand it to them.
