So we picked this up today and I have used for 15 minutes... for those that are competitive this is not a good thing...

My wife at 1 am this mornign is still trying to beat my scores on it... (game portiom)

Beyond the fact it was screaming at me about my BMI and my wieght I love this thing. It makes the Wii that much more of a toy slash life style..

They're sold out here already. Didn't even last 10 minutes.

I think the BMI is crap. at least relating to me. I've changed much about my eating habits, and have lost weight, but will have to lose 50 pounds of muscle before my bmi matches what is healthy.

Not sure I need a video game calling me obese. Especially when I don't believe I am. Kinda takes the fun out of it, and it's not good for the mentality.

I love my wii, but we'll have to see about this.

You guys will have to explain exactly what the Wii Fit is? I have no Wii as of yet.. Haven't been in a rush to get one. Anyway I sorta know what the Wii fit is, but I would benefit from a more thorough understanding, and I'm sure others will benefit hearing the description, thanks!

The Nintendo Wii as you probably know is a very interactive home consol game system. The Wii Fit is another "controller" and software that has a bunch of fitness related activities. The controller is a pad that sits on the floor that measures you weight and senses you movement while standing on it.

So when using it in combination with the hand held contollers it can know where your hands are in space and what your feet are doing.. so it become a "full" body interactive experience.

Here's the wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_fit

I think it looks really cool. I'll probably get one when they're more available.

To Piggyback, I think that aside from my objections above, it really is a great way to get active in front of the tv, and I've heard it's fun. You can box, do yoga, ski, and just a whole lot of other things on it.

The Wii is definitely one of the cooler systems around, especially for it's group interactive play. There's nothing more fun than watching your buddies jump around aimlessly in the living room, waving their arms around, trying to hit an imaginary ball.

I meant to get in ahead of the rush on this one, and was too darn busy.

I think that is actually one reason why I don't have a Wii yet... Don't care much for playing in groups, most of my play is solo time. So I love my PS3... But I think when the Wii becomes more easily obtainable down the line I might give it a shot. In my area the stores still never have it in stock.

Last night was the first time I had ever played a Wii. I was not impressed. Yeah, it gets you moving, but it got boring after the first hour. It's the same thing for every game, just different settings. I just couldn't see spending my money on that...it would get old so fast. And no LIVE either. Rolling Eyes And no call of duty 4!!! What would I do with that?

Honestly, I only play right now with friends, but we have a blast every time we get together. I'm also a zelda fan, and the newest zelda kicked ASS! Along those lines, the games I play are the single action types that use the controls--like lego star wars. Like Godfather (you grab guys by the lapel and throw them around--just giddy fun). I made my way through Bully, and that was kinda fun. I just got a gun for mine, and when I get my controllers back(my friends were having a wii party with other friends and borrowed the controllers...) I'm going to see if it works for Medal of Honor.

My friends and I play games like darts, summer games, rayman(1 and 2 rock!), and there's a pub game. We played one the other day that has archery and Curling(you even got to sweep the stone.) With the original coupla games, it does get boring. I hardly ever bowl anymore, except to get strikes while facing backwards...party trick.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 360 and wouldn't give it up for the world(use my ps3 only for blu-ray) and completed cod4 and love shooters. The wii is just fun at a base level.

You'd probably have a blast, and it's funny as hell to watch.

Ok...get ready to laugh!

I like the ORIGINAL Mario Bros on the 1st Nintendo...The original Galaga and.....Pong! All that 3-D gaming I can't seem to figure out! I like the 2 dimensional going from left to right only..or bottom to top...pretty much cuts it for me in the gaming scene! I did do a virtual reality game once..it was cool..but I got killed Sad

ah...but COD4 is only fun LIVE. My 9 year old son beat the single player in 2 days. (it's his game, but I'm the one that plays it because I don't share well!)
