I got my 4 cards today also. They all work and are nice, my daughter will love them. I also got my superglue and it also had 2 extra bonus items. A Citi ratcheting driver set that also bends 90 degrees. Plus i got a universal power adapter.
I was surprised by both and accept the appology eventhough I liked all the lights and watches.

Some people are only happy when they can complain. This is the reason that so many people don't want to work in retail and I must say that if I had to work in retail, I would be on the news from a shooting spree. Some of these people sound like conspiracy nuts. They actually act like TF knowingly sent out defective items just so they could watch people get angry. They must be correct since we know that every company that receives merchandise shipments has the time and employees to go through every single item to test it and make sure it works and then reseal it good as new before putting it out for sale.  I also agree that no matter how much a company apologizes, they should never be let off the hook and instead we should continue to whine, complain and maybe even throw a temper tantrum while threatening to hold our breath until we turn blue.  That will show them that we mean business! Then they can really pay us back properly with new cars, loads of cash and maybe even throw in a body part so that they never forget that the customer should never be trifled with.  I guess in the end all we can expect is that maybe some of these people will get treated the same way that they have been treating others after they make a mistake. They maybe they will learn something but I have my doubts that they will learn anything.

So it's not just cat people that think all this whining is rediculous! We should start taking bets on how long all of the incessant complaining is going to go on...I say until October 2010! AVA, I will bet you a working cell phone light that it goes on longer than that. LOL I actually thought of this earlier this evening when dd9 and dd8 were fighting. I told them to apolotize and they did, but DD9 complained that DD8 didn't "sound like she meant it." Maybe if those cards had played that song from the Bounty commercial...."I'm sorry,,so sorry..." My lights worked and my cards, too, and for the record, the cards arrived just as I needed a birthday card for someone, so thanks TF. If the only opinions that matter are everyone else's, do you ever really have one of your own?

I accept as well! ( Although, I wasn't someone who felt I needed an apology. I have been happy with everything here so far. ) It was a delightful surprise and really brightened my day.
I know this is not the trade thread but I just wanted to throw this out there. My son and I have a HUGE thing with Shaft. We even had a wonderful Mastiff who was named Shaft.
I anyone has a working Shaft card they don't need. I would love to trade-purchase it. Please, PM me.

I also received my cards in the mail today. Nice touch TF! All four work, but all four are the same card, playing "I've Got A Pair of Roller Skates". I'm sure I'll be able to give these to friends with significant others so they can share the love.
Thanks TF for going the extra mile to keep people happy. Well, most people anyway. Some people just seem happier complaining.

I received my four cards yesterday. I was not happy with my 9.99 MB, but I did not lodge a complaint. All four of my cards work - however two of them are Jurassic Park (I don't know who I will give these to!

Ok, with the stupid cards and the coupons, you finally convinced me to give you guys another chance. Lets see what you think you 'owe me', and I'll see if I become a regular customer again, or if I just cash in my coupons for two power inverters and then have nothing to do with TF ever again in my life.

What a great website that allows it's customers to vent....kudos TF Woot would NEVER allow this many dissenting opinions. Your tolerance of dissention is amazing and makes me even more of a believer....dont let a few LOUD threadcrappers determine how most of us feel. and thanks again 65 Flings!!! and counting
In a small Texas town, a new bar/tavern started a building to open up their business. The local Baptist church started a campaign of petitions and prayers to block the bar from opening.
Work progressed, however right up till the week before opening, when a lightning strike hit the bar and it burned to the ground.
The church folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the bar owner sued the church on the grounds that the church was ultimately responsible for the demise of his building, either through direct or indirect actions or means. The church vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection to the building's demise in its reply to the court.
As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork. At the hearing he commented, "I don't know how I'm going to decide this, but as it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer, and an entire church congregation that doesn't."
Every morning to cheer myself up, I create a computer file and name it Barack Obama. Then I move it into the recycling bin and hit empty the recycling bin...the computer always leaves his fate in my hands by asking.....

Thank you for the gesture, ThingFling! I wasn't thrilled with my MB, but wasn't furious either. I know that ordering a "Mystery" is a crap-shoot, and sometimes that's what you end up with. The fact that you obviously care about your customers and their satisfaction with even your 'risky' items shows an applaudable business ethic. I will eventually order again, although the Mystery Boxes are likely to be out unless they are under the $15.00 mark. I can take a chance, but not THAT big of a chance yet.  All of that having been said, I'll just sit back and wait for something that is not a power inverter to come up. I keep seeming to get here just in time for a new power inverter to start selling.

It's a shame. When you purchase a mystery box, you get what you get. I enjoyed the mystery of the box. No, I was not impressed with the volume of cell phone lights, or the Poker watched. BUT...I expected a mystery, and that's what I got. It's sad that some people order a mystery box, and expect expensive, high end products. Thing Fling is a business. They exist to make money. Beyond that, they have given us, the customer, products that we can use at low, low prices. They warn (quite well, might I add), that mystery boxes are just that. A mystery. If anyone is "Shagged", they should (and do, I believe) feel happy and excited about it. If getting a unsatisfactory mystery box makes you leave...shame on you. Then, the Royal Court hears that the customer is unhappy with the boxes. They don't have to "make-up" for anything, but they do. Then you complain again? This I do not understand. I look at mystery boxes like a suprise White Elephant gift. If I can afford to throw away the cash for the mystery box, I do. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. But all the time, it's fun to wait and see what is coming. Thanks for the fun, Thing Fling. I am truely sorry for all the unhappy people that have taken the fun away from your mystery boxes. I will continue to purchase (when I can), as I think it is a fun item.

I received 4 musical cards, too. Two play a song from the Marx Brothers movie Animal Crackers and 2 play the theme from The Twilight Zone. All 4 work but, sadly, the Animal Crackers ones are too 'beaten up' by the post office to use.  However, I just mailed one of the Twilight Zone cards to my brother-in-law for his birthday! Thanks, TF!

Too bad. On your way out, don't let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya!  I for one am grateful for the four cards I got from TF. I was beginning to feel left out but they came in the mail yesterday (2 "roller skate" cards and 2 "I've got a crush" cards). THANKS TF!
