Here in Silicon Valley, it's been pretty hot the past few days. We had heat advisories for this past Thursday and Friday with temperatures over 100 degrees. Has it been roastingly hot over in NJ? Have you taken any time off to go to the Jersey Shore ? Make sure you all do that! Mental health days are important for your sanity !

Most Jersians don't start going down to the shore until on/after Memorial Day. That is the unofficial start of the summer. Well at least everybody I have ever met. For some reason I don't get the feeling that the royal staff is originally from NJ. I could be wrong but it is just a feeling I have had. Zombies are my favorite! I know what AVA looks like

Weather in Hawaii is quite nice (hot). Been a bit smogy from the volcano, though (nicknamed " vog" ) -- but that's starting to clear up thanks to the trade winds. "TinyGecko" is now "CodeFling"

You Hawaiians need to develop giant heat-resistant corks to stop that volcano from ruining your awesome views.

Locals are pretty wise and I think they've learned one thing: don't anger Pele (the volcano)! Normally probably not best to anthropomorphize a volcano -- but in this case, Pele is a gentle giant. Lately she's been blowing a lot of smoke... so someone might have been considering your suggestion "TinyGecko" is now "CodeFling"

How do you LIVE around volcanos? Geeze..I'd be staring at that thing all day..every day in that "ready to run stance" and get pretty much nothing else done!

Honolulu (where I live now) is pretty far from the volcano (about ~250 miles). I used to live on the "Big Island" with the volcano. Sometime you can drive over there and play with the lava. I'm not joking about playing with it -- you get sticks and poke at it and make "lava art" (with a cold bucket of water -- usually looks like glassy poop). It is intensely enjoyable -- and obviously a little dangerous. "TinyGecko" is now "CodeFling"

Yea. It's cooler now. Very nice temperatures during the day, cool at night. Really, it's perfect.
