I flung one... I just cleaned the kids room (all day job) and the hubby changed out all the receptacles. They're going to like these with their clean room! I had bought some of these a few years ago... they're pretty bright. Cool

I just ordered my second set for the day and since I ordered something else earlier this morning, I got the second set for free. Geez, glad I thought of it 45 minutes before midnight. First time I ordered 3 of anything in one day.Very Happy

I ordered one and am trying to get #2. I keep getting a pop up stating I have reached my limit and couldn't order another. Did the limit lower to 1?

So, I was going to order two sets. The first time I tried to order, I got through paypal and then hit the "place order" button on the next page and it gave me some long error and something about the server cutting me off. So, I tried again. It went through with $6 shipping. I then tried to order another set like many of y'all have done and it told me I couldn't and that I was over the limit. How come you guys could order 2 and I couldn't? Crying or Very sad

I just had the same thing happen to me. The first set wouldn't allow a purchase through Paypal so I went Credit Card. The second set it wouldn't let me purchase because it says I am over the limit although my orders only show one order being placed. Brick wall

I guess I should have read all forum listings before making the leap. I thought the limit was three. Now I see it was changed to two. Embarassed make it one.

Free shipping? rarely happens here. Bummer in many ways. Whistle

I don't know if it will work but i sent them a $4 paypal payment with an explanation in the notes section. I wanted to get it in before the item ended. I guess I will see. Although in my haste, I didn't realize I screwed up my Free Shipping for today. This was going to be my first day I made it to FS too.

It has. TF is located in NJ, so they run on EST/EDT. You can see the current TF time on the bottom of the main page too!
The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension.

Thank you for your answer!
Crying or Very sad but I waited too long to ask and when I went in it already changed to the sunglasses! Which I ordered, Dancing Dancing I hear they are pretty nice for the price, and with a family of 6 we are always replacing broken or lost glasses, Pray hopefully this will help defray all the cost of replacements! Very Happy

I was able to order two sets with no problems or hiccups. Smile

Perhaps you should reconsider and try to always make the minimum allowed (on this and other items) as a minimum order of 3 - otherwise, most of us will never reap the benefits of free shipping.....

I don't understand the logic of this. The item was "free." Why should ThingFling send us a free item for free? It makes sense to have free items not be eligible for free shipping.

However, the LONG posting times makes it extremely difficult to take advantage of free shipping if you are buying items for your personal use. Since I'm not reselling these items I don't usually need more than one of anything. If ThingFling doesn't offer a large variety of items each day I will seldom get to three orders. If I'm not going to get a good deal on shipping I am less likely to place even the first order. I thought one of the perks of the new shipping system was that ThingFling was going to return to short posting times. What happened?

When do they normally ship out after getting an order? I have placed order about two days back and it still shows Processing. This is my first order.

I tried the light blue one with stars on it. It seems to light up the face but the light does not radiate at all. It would be good to find a location in the dark (where it is plugged in), but it does not illuminate the path at all, (bad when kids don't pick up their toys!!) I also bought the flourescent nightlight outlets, so maybe they will work for my situation better.
Too many flings to count....

Yeah not very useful from what I've seen of the two I plugged in. Like you said you could find THEM plugged in in the dark but not much else illuminated.

I wonder if they are simply old or if this is a design flaw (or intended?)

Ummm, what are these actually supposed to illuminate? I plugged one in the bathroom turned off the lights and shut the door, it did nothing but light up the face of the night light. The blue charging light on my rechargeable toothbrush illuminates more than this does. I am glad I only ordered 1 set and was able to use the $3.33 off coupon, cause these things will probably end up in the trash.

On a good note though, I had a 2 extras in my box. A Citibank compact tool set and a 4 pack of old style screw-in house fuses. The tool kit will be kept the fuses will probably be tossed, who still uses screw-in fuses anymore with their home electrical. There was also a note saying that these extra gifts were my "we owe you one".

Thanks TF

An update...

I was just reading about these kinds of electroluminescence nightlights, with age they get dimmer. So these were probably pretty old stock that someplace had laying around.

So what do you guys think of these who have gotten them already?> I have tired two of my 12 so far... Don't seem very bright at all..Think
I didn't order them, but they look very similar to some I bought. First impression was like yours, not much apparent light output. That's the situation if you just turn the room lights off and your eyes haven't adjusted to the darkness yet. But I noticed that if I woke up in the middle of the night, the light was more noticeable. A good application for these lights would be to put one in the bathroom for those middle of the night trips. It gives you enough light so you don't bump around, but it's low enough that you don't bother your eyes by turning on a regular light.

Kimota, thanks, I will try these out for a little while longer, but I am not so sure about these, my current opinion is that they are very very old. I have two electroluminescents from a past MB of old, different brand, they are MUCH brighter. And behave as you describe. These GE ones I was sitting in the dark staring at last night, they really didn't help at all.
