Congrats to you (and Lucy and Ethel)! -- OK, hope this edit gets read by you, AVA. You have Lucy and Ethel, where are Fred and Desi? So, I have yet to post a pic of our 6-year old "baby" Bella. One of these days, I'll find one. She's a chocolate-colored teacup chihuahua - think of Britney or Paris but we are much more charming! - that my daughter inherited from my mother in 2004. Just under 5 pounds soaking wet, she loves to play and her idea of eating is to graze all day and much of the night. (However, she refuses to eat while we are not at home and on the odd occasion that she has been boarded, has to be coaxed to eat.) She is truly a lap-dog - she was a great comfort to my mother in her last 2 years - we often found them napping together in my mother's rocking chair, and now she loves our easy chair. Doesn't matter who is sitting in it, she hops right up and snuggles. She's also fond of sitting behind my back when I'm at the home office desk on the computer (like now). Anyway, I finally had to ask about the Lucy Show reference...

I always thought it was a name brand that just happened to sell shoes, fast food, linens, etc. Congrats AVA, you definitely deserved the shagging. My gang, 3 kitties and one doggie, are extremely jealous. On a side note, Melmo's (I think) new baby pictures convinced me to get a new 7 week grey kitty a couple weeks ago. Maybe he will get lucky and get shagged soon, (but not before he gets FIXED!!! ) Paula Too many flings to count....

BOGO a brand name! Yeah..it DOES sound like it! HUGE company..sells everything from groceries & pizza to shoelaces! Thanks all...don't let your little guys get jealous..some day they'll get shagged too I'm sure! There were quite a few dogs that got doggie toys in their parent's shaggings too. It definately shows TF is paying attention to their customers to know exactly how many pets are in a customer's house and what kind..there's not another company like this..totally personal and proves that they really love us! We're not just another customer..we're family! A very smart company actually..if you think about it..if a company was to throw in something special for a customer..it's usually something for the customer themself and most of the time useless stuff..but for a company to recognize how much their customers love their pets and to treat the pets to something special is MORE than tossing in something for the customer. It shows humanity and that there are REAL people on the other end and not just a corporation! They KNEW this would just make my day and it was personal! THING FLING IS THE #1 DOD SITE!!!! With the customer service they have whether it's knowing their customers on a personal level or trying to make their customers happy..they've got the competition BEAT! There's always some people that will never be satisfied no matter what the deal is...they're the kind that could win the lottery and think it's unfair to have to pay taxes on their winnings and the $10 million left after taxes isn't enough. Nothing can make them happy. I also wonder at times..could the competition be getting nervous over ThingFling's success and sending in their own people to trash the site publicly to try to keep them down! If you think about it..alot of the rantings make no sense what so ever and no matter what TF does..they're not happy with the results and keep ranting to keep the topic on top.. they also admit they want everyone to see their nasty comments and try to say the competition is better which of course is so not true. Hmmm... moles from the nervous competition..it's possible! The big question is..why would anyone want to buy something that is actually called a "bag of CRAP" when they can buy a mystery box of all good stuff? I bought ONCE from another site out of curiosity and I really DID get a bag of CRAP but never got crap here! Even the Cell Phone lights..all working and quite useful! This next Halloween is going to save me alot of money from having to buy candy now..and everyone could use a miniature LED light while Trick Or Treating in the dark! There will be little flashing lights all over this neighborhood on Halloween night here!

Lucy doesn't "cut it" when it comes to standards for Bengals which is why she's a rescue I suppose..not all of her spots are perfect. She's a silver coated. The vet say's she's possibly a product of a Bengal and Savannah by her body type..her tail is short and ears are big with lynx tips as well as her heavy muscular weight..she's pretty solid..yet a mush all rolled up in one kitty! The only thing is..she's human shy...I'm the only one that can touch her she's actually very attached to me!
OH..Lucy Growls when she plays with toys..and worse...God Forbid a poor unsuspecting lizard makes it's way into the house...she snags and then walks around growling and snarling with it! Actually..there's alot of strange things she does..we'll have to chat and compare notes...I always wondered and don't know anyone who has one. Is yours super strong? Lucy has knocked over furniture. Thank you! Yeah, it's a she, and her name is Trinity. She was jumping from the top of her cat tree to my bed. I admit, her fur is really nice with the contrast in her spots, and she's got "glitter" on her fur...is that silver coated? But she's pretty dainty! Even if Lucy isn't a textbook Bengal, she probably seems more wild, being all heavy and muscular. I fell in love with Bengals after two months of looking into breeds...and then another three months of randomly traveling all over FL until I found Trinity. Sounds so snobby! Especially to get a CAT, when there are tons around...but having 4 scraggly rescues at home, I wanted something different. Savannahs are huge! That must be where Lucy gets her strength, too. Trinity isn't strong in the "knocking over furniture" way (LMAO at that)...but she's definitely more athletic and crafty than my rescue cats. She regularly jumps from the floor to the top of my armoire (9 feet straight up) and she back flips for the feather wand. I had to stop taking relaxing bubble baths, because she loved hopping in or "fishing" stuff out of the water (like my toes!) What other strange stuff does Lucy do? They're going to start harassing us to go to PM soon! I can't help myself, lol...Bengals have so many quirks, I get caught up talking about them.

Belated Congrats! "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then flingest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." -Thing Fling's Cable AMB review -How to choose an HDTV (A Step by Step guide)

Lucy has the most bizarre quirks actually..she's just plain wierd! When she gets excited she actually will bark! does yours do this? It's so nice to have someone to compare notes! Lucy has what looks like very fine fairy dust on her in the sunlight..sometimes it's multicolored but I don't know if it's picking up surrounding color or not. Very pretty though! You know what's very wierd that she does..when she's just lounging where ever..if I walk into that room she does this strange head nod and churrups at the same time..like she's doing the chin nod to say hey what's up! EVERY TIME! She's VERY athletic..we like to play toss the toys up as high as possible and she'll leap straight up and catch it in her paws..shove it in her mouth and land...then wants me to toss again! She's learned how to slide the pantry door open and pull out the bags of treats..she'll carry a bag to me and wait for me to open the bag and give her some. OH..and this is bizzarre..she shakes her food like she needs to kill it while she's eating..she makes a huge mess..even canned cat food! And..if she's being really lazy..and laying down where the bowls are..when I put the food in..she'll reach over with her paw and pull the dish to her and eat with her paw and not get up..so she's laying there in that cheesecake pose dipping her paw into the bowl and eating it off her paw! With her ears..they're strange also..when she turns them or is leary of something..her ears fold back instead of the normal flatten back..so they fold over and when she shakes her head..her ears make a flappy noise like dog's ears do! Oh God there's so much more Strange that is Lucy..we really do need to PM and compare notes! Tell me more about Trinity!

I think I am going to need one of these cats. ( Since the Court keeps track, You could pop one in a Mystery Box. I would be more than happy to pay additional shipping. ) Kidding, I can't have a cat right now. My son is allergic. He has promised my older daughter that he will buy her a kitten when he moves out. I think I need to look into this breed. Although, maybe not. If I fall in love with the breed, I am guessing I would have to help him A LOT with the kitten purchase. I can't wait to have a cat in the house again. ( Well, I do love my son being here MUCH more than a pet but you know what I mean. ) Time to hit Google.

I looked a little, but your first-hand stories are great. Like shaking the food to subdue it, who would've thought a housecat would do that? Too funny! That picture of Trinity flying through the room is perfect, who wouldn't love a cat like that? Yeah..it did kinda freak me out when she started to shake her food like that...I'm thinking..but it's already dead..what on earth are you doing? It makes a mess since she eats Fancy Feast Medleys and well...when she does this..it flings around her bowl! I have to clean up after she's done killing her breakfast and dinner every day! She also eats with her paws at times which really cracks me up! Usually if she's laying down and doesn't feel like getting up to eat..she'll drag her bowl to her and reach in and grab some food and eat off her paws for a while until she feels like getting up! But it's the reaching for the bowl and pulling it towards her so she can reach inside is what really cracks me up. Lazy cat!

I'm figuring as long as your dog is ok with cats and you get a kitten and raise it with your dog there shouldn't be any problem just like any other cat raised with a dog...and well..if your dog pisses it off down the road..you'll have one less dog and you won't need to buy cat food for a week! Just kidding..they're sweet and lovable...just a tad wild at time. I think Lucy might be confused at times basically..domestic...wild...domestic...wild.......... ya know..can't choose! My mom got a puppy recently and she brought her over not too long ago...well..it was interresting to see...the puppy was all excited to see other critters and was all like "yay...fwends!" and Lucy and Ethel was all puffed up like two halloween cats growling and doing a circle dance around the puppy..I'm not sure what they would have done to her if I didn't grab the puppy from them!

angelsvintageattic wrote:Your dog is cute in your avatar..looks fluffy! I bet any kitten would love to cuddle up to her! That's Jack. He is a hairy guy, the thickest, most shedddingest fur coat I've ever seen! He is cuddly but it's my other dog, Jill, that needs a playmate. Jack doesn't play much and Jill never stops. A strong cat that will hold it's own and play fetch sounds great. As long as it will be a lap pet too! Edit: just changed the avatar to show both. Jack is on the left.
