I bought left over box 2... I don't think I am going to buy box 3 this time around... It wasn't bad stuff, don't get me wrong. It just wasn't what I expected I guess you could say.

Why no MB.com lately ? Surprised

After the crap I got in the 3 "homerun" mystery boxes, you want me to take another chance....Shame on you

I think I'm going to sit this one and several more out for a nice long while. Besides, woot is having a wootoff and I'll know that I'm NOT buying for poker watches...

What I don't understand is people have had so many bad experiences recently with their mystery boxes, yet people still buy them. I don't understand, I've spent over 50 bucks on complete useless junk. I guess there's a lot of people who love those lights and poker watches... I think I'm done with this site in general.

I just checked my " Fling " and I am bummed. Not only could I not stack the coupons, I paid an extra $2 for shipping just because I purchased early. This is my 2nd fling and I hope it beats the last one. I just don't understand why shipping would be lowered mid-fling.

The shipping is not lowered. The way that Thing Fling works is that your first purchase of the day has a $6 shipping charge. The next one has a $4 shipping charge. After that whatever you buy has free shipping. It just LOOKS like the price has been lowered, but people who have not bought anything yet today will still be seeing the $6. They have it set that way so that you will be encouraged to buy more stuff in the same day. Don't know if it works that way, but that is the plan anyway. Wink

Could it be possible that you guys are flinging one with $6 shipping, and then going back to look at the front page to see that it has changed to $4 shipping. For every purchase you make the shipping goes down. If you buy another thing today and pay the $4 shipping, then everything else you purchase in the 24 hour window would be free.

I really hope that, that's not to hard to understand. I'm a bit medicated at the time.

I saw, I pondered, I crossed my fingers and I FLUNG!

Every day is a blessing for me to still be around (heart transplant 4 years ago) so I'm going to take another chance on this.

Besides, if there isn't stuff I want I can always sell it at the garage sale next month. Free Cell Phone lights are going to go big at $2/ea (x 4 8 ).

After much wavering, I'm in for one. I wasn't real impressed with the infamous MB, had bought 3 and after getting the box was sooooo very glad I only got 3. 48 cell phone lights were bad enough, can't imagine being stuck with 96. That being said, it is a mystery - it's a gamble. I have been very pleased with all of my other purchases. So looking at it that way, one dud out of over 70 orders is not bad odds! Of course, getting shagged would make the odds even better!!! Hint, hint, nudge, nudge.
73 unique Flings, $1,715 spent and still counting, regardless of the new shipping cost policy!

Anyone wanna speculate what might be in these?
The description says no poker watches or cell phone lights.

Not much... The main items we sold before... and the boxes are not going to be exactly the same.

Oops, and we want to shag a couple of them!

Wonder how long ago they've sold the main items before Wink.

The 4GB Siren's or 1-2GB Ilo's seem possible (Left Over MB2 I believe said no MP3 players, but this one does not). If I fling this I wouldn't mind some cool downz (obviously not as the "main item" though).

If I had more experience here I'd try to estimate the odds they'll:
1. Semi-Shag this whole lot to "make up for" the Infamous 9.99
2. Just do a "normal" solid Thing Fling MB.
3. Turn this into a "going out of business sale" by making it comparable to the Infamous 9.99.

I can't decide if the "Squeamish ,need not apply!" line scares me (like perhaps the "Infamous" name should have Wink or encourages me (as in, we shall reward those who are not squeamish). No idea about the Conrad quote.

If I could stack all my coupons (1x$5 + 3x$3.33 from the Infamous MB) there's a good chance I'd give this a shot. As it is, I'm squarely on the fence. Maybe I'll keep watching the woot-off for a while and if nothing good comes up give this a go.

Well the last one was "arguably" worth $5-10 per MB. So if this one is worth $25-30 per MB, does that make it better than the last one? --evil grin--

Well this MB and it's description made me realize I'm done with this site. "some great items"? Well that's nice...maybe you should have included one in the $30 box (3 X $9.99) I bought recently.

Of course they still left out that the items may not work, may be for obsolete equipment no one has, or that it may be worth significantly less than the money you're paying.

The kicker is that it's $60! They should have given us a $10 MB that we could have used or combined coupon on (which still isn't working, as I understand). It's clear to me that this site isn't interested in growing a set of loyal customers (like I was) but just seeing who much cash they can squeeze out of each of us suckers.
