I did get the shower massager thing which is nice...I bought one of these from TF a while back..still haven't installed it..but hey..some day..and since I have two bathrooms..I can install both now..or give one to mom! Very Happy

I also got this Linksys Storage Link for USB 2.0 Disk Drives NSLU2 thingie. What is it? It looks interresting and useful..but what does it do??

now...explain to me in NON-techie terms...girlie terms would be best! Talk slow! Smile

In a nutshell, it allows you to access a hard drive or USB flash drive from anywhere in your house. In techie terms, it's a 2-drive USB NAS.

The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension.

I bought the 999MB's too, and I did not get shagged either. I don't know what the key to being one of the lucky ones is, but it is not that. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that my day will come. Smile

If anyone has an extra NSLU2 that they don't plan on using, PM me with a price/trade and we'll talk.

I think (and I could be wrong) that they stated in the ad for the "infamous MB" that every 1000th box sold would be shagged....it's just luck of the draw. I've bought several MB's, and finally received my first shagging on this last one. People try to claim that if you don't buy a lot or don't post a lot you will never get shagged - but that is totally false. There are many "newbies" that have been shagged recently as well. So, it is just plain ole' luck of the draw......

Got my box today!
Aromatherapy shower head - will come in handy bathing my two-year old son (minus the aromatherapy crystals, of course)
15 minute battery charger + 4 AA batteries - Nice. I'm well stocked up on batteries now! (see Products>Monster High Capacity Pro Charger $3.33 for my story there)
Ipod portable remote control - no use to me, personally. A nice gift for someone who does have an Ipod.
CD case - just what I need to keep cd-roms handy on my desk without the aforementioned two-year old grabbing for them every chance he gets.
Photo album
2 window alarms
Cross folding pen - this is something that didn't make a good first impression for me when previously advertised or mentioned on TF, but now that I have one, I like it.
Beer can turkey roaster - I've got to try it at least once now, don't I?
mp3 belt - a BIG belt for a little case was my first thought, then I opened it and found it to be modular, so it's better than I thought.
Thingfling fan - Yay! Finally got one!
Laptop cable/lock - My second from TF. Now I have to get a second laptop, I guess.
Phillips Universal remote - separately ordered, just added to my shipment
Memory card wallet - I'm in the midst of organizing, so this'll help.
Linksys Network Storage Link - a couple of weeks ago I would have been super thrilled to get this. I needed to expand my storage and thanks to TF posting this item, it prompted me to consider network storage. But, for the cost of a link and an additional USB drive, I could get a network drive that has its own hard drive, which I did. Not that I'm complaining; it's a good piece for barter or sale.

I don't know anything about networking -or how I can use the linsys stuff. I've got a combo motorola wireless modem/router that has only 1 10/100 output... . I'm guessing I should pick up TF's Linksys Router, I think I can connect that router to my combo motorola and then hookup the slug and print server... Think Think

Actually, you need a network hub instead of another router. If you have a computer recycle shop handy, you can pick one up there cheap.

Okay guys, I'm sorry this post is about a week and a half late, but I've been busy! But I have to say:

I GOT SHAGGED!!!!

Here's what I got:
Picture Frame Speakers (hubby is really excited about these)
Orange Backpack
Linksys USB Hard Drive (think i'm gonna ebay this - don't know how to use it)
MP3 Armband/fannypack
Battery charger with batteries
Shower head (can always use a new shower head)
Beercan Turkey Rack (hubby likes this one too)
Lucky Pillow (I'll be taking this to the hospital with me - maybe I'll be "lucky" and have one of those pain-free labors - right?)
MP3 sound case (This'll go to the hospital too - so I can have some nice tunes during labor)
Wireless antenna
CD Holder
SD Card wallet
Inmotion I-mini (made a perfect gift for my nephew who got an ipod for his bday)
webcam (will come in handy when the out of town family wants to see the new baby!)

Awesome box! Hubby was totally excited, and very impressed. No more complaining about MBs!

Okay, so now the excuses - I've been too busy at work to get online (getting stuff ready for my leave). And we've been kicked out of our house for week while we have our floors redone. Anyway, all I can say is that Thing Fling is the best!

My hubbie went by our house to get the mail yesterday, and I felt even guiltier about not posting this yet, when he brought back this gift from the Queen.

Man - Thing Fling has really really outdone themselves with this one! My hubbie is no longer teasing me about the 9.99 MB's - he can't believe the value we got for this one!

Oh, I almost forgot - I don't usually say I'm glad I didn't get something, but I'm glad I didn't get the personal alarms. Ever since I got pregnant, my hubby gives me daily lectures about personal safety. I'm sure he would have tried to make me start carrying one around if we had gotten one!

Wow! I made money!! ($97 after selling 3 things on eBay)
After seeing what everyone else got, I found out I was REALLY LUCKY! And since I'm not a big risk-taker, I won't be participating in future MB's.

This is what I got from what I remember (and the sale price on eBay):

* Pool Alarm (sold for $80 on eBay)
* NSLU2 thingy that everyone else got (sold for $57 on eBay)
* Radio controlled clock (sold for $60 on eBay)
[which totals $147 - ~30 shipping & fees = $157 - $61 cost of LMB = $97 profit!!]

$97 profit!

But I also got:
* Showerhead (yes, I am using it! but just the head, not the inserts)
* Maxell remote iPod controller
* Portable speakers for mp3 device
* mp3 player + headphones
* foldable headphones
* 15 minute battery charger (I didn't check if it was corroded)
* 2 CD case booklets
* 4 night lights
* Turkey beercan thing
(maybe more but that's all I remember)

Wow! I got so lucky this time!!!

That's awesome! But it wouldn't be too much of a risk for you to fling another MB with a bit of the profit and see if you strike it again. Smile

Exactly what I was thinking! Who wouldn't go in for a second one - increase those profits!
