Another thing I noticed when I got head banging headaches, I went and got my glasses adjusted and what a relief that was, 3+ week headache was gone just about over night. My glasses were out of synch and were messing up my head. I thought it was just another migraine but noticed it was different than usual. Just another suggestion and hope it helps someone.
Migraines ain't fun, I feel your pain. I've had them off and on since I was a teenager.my family tree

I know it seems like a joke but that Head-On stuff (rub on head, hate commercial) has a migraine version. I have used it and it works for the most part. The pain is reduced to the point where you at least feel alive. I have also used to some results a Migraine/Eye thing I bought at Aldi's. It is weighted with some thing that stays warm for quite a while after about 45 to 60 seconds in the microwave. I don't know what is in it, but especially when used with a dark room seems to work quite well. Just suggestions. Good luck. Thanks Zack. I've always wondered if that Head On stuff worked. Will have to send the hubby out to get some. OK none of that sounded right.. lol. I'm not sending my hubby out for head.... just some migraine stuff. lol. I've had migraines for about 20 years now - the only thing that helps me is prescription drugs. The Head On did absolutely nothing for me. But, I discovered something new....has anyone tried the headache/migraine formula of Sinus Busters? It is getting great reviews - however, the thought of squirting pepper spray up my nose kinda freaks me out....then again, I'll do darn near anything to get rid of a migraine....

Hope it goes away and doesn't come back!! My doctor referred to that as a "morphine migraine." I had my first dose of morphine about two years ago after surgery. I had never had morphine before - it helped my surgery pain, but gave me a wicked migraine. You would think it would do the opposite, but according to the doctor, some folks get migraines every time they receive morphine.... The best RX I've used for migraines is a nasal spray called Migranal. The other drugs don't work at all, don't work very well, or have too many side effects. Migranal does not contain any sort of narcotic, so you can still function when using it, and it also gets rid of the nausea. However, if you don't have insurance, it's expensive....

Maybe it will not work, but I am willing to try stuff that is safe and inexpensive. If I need it, I just take a Lortab (not real expensive, but too much can upset my (little?) stomach). Good luck. Hope it goes away and doesn't come back!! Ya the morphine patch was tried by my Dr for my pain, but it did not work well enough to make continuing use a good thing. Weird, but the shots after my surgery did seem to help (in conjunction with other stuff). BLESSED ARE THE CRACKED FOR THEY ARE THE ONES WHO LET IN THE LIGHT!
