OK, I can't keep up with the 6 new pages of posts every day in the main MB thread (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). Can someone please post here if the issue with being able to combine the MB coupons gets fixed? Thanks!

Haven't much kept up with the infamous mb thread--my sanity is more valuable to me! But I don't think the not being able to combine is a "[problem" so much as a design--the coupon system here has always been one coupon per order. Obviously if they WANTED to allow you to use multiple $3.33 coupons on the same order they'd have just given out $9.99 coupons. Since they broke it up into 3 $3.33 coupons the underlying message is essentially gotta make three orders to use them up.

In this case, though, I do think there was a post somewhere by someone in the court that said they were working on this. It's lost, however, in 186 pages of pure insanity! I can't get them to stack yet either. If the only opinions that matter are everyone else's, do you ever really have one of your own?

In my opinion had they originally intended for you to be able to use a larger chunk on one order it'd have just been easier for them to give out larger coupons rather than reprogramming their coupon system. But hey if it happens the reason why doesn't much matter to me. )

Oh I totally agree. I know their policy has always been one coupon per order, and I think it was a response to the outcry too. I am trying to hold out for a week or so to see if that becomes an option, but if not will probably still use my coupons, maybe even on a mystery box, cause I'm just a little crazy that way. If the only opinions that matter are everyone else's, do you ever really have one of your own?

I can confirm that - the King himself indicated that he had brought the new feature to the attention of his programmers and asked them to get it done as quickly as possible. So yes, it's gonna happen. Probably by the end of the week, if the programmer's estimate is accurate. My Dragons need your help to hatch and grow! Please click on them!

Witless the reason for the 3.33 coupons were that some bought 1 box others bought 2 or 3 so it was easy to just divide 9.99 x 3 then give a 3.33 coupon based on how many you bought if they went further with it they would have to give out 3.33, 6.66 & 9.99 and that would have taken a bit of time to do. Now he is willing to combine coupons to give the people who made a 3 or more purchase a better deal. Why does everbody who puts their 2 cents in always wind up a penny short? Always Remember the Infamous 9.99 Mystery box!!! COME GET SOME!!!

It would've taken the same amount of effort to dish out $3.33 or $6.66 or $9.99 or etc as it did to dish out a $3.33 coupon limited to the number of mystery boxes purchased--I mean obviously the system is capable of knowing how many times the MB was flung because it keeps track of how many times you can use the $3.33, so it would've been just as easy had they wanted to to have the system auto generate one coupon based on how many MBs were flung x 3.33 Personally I preferred the king's recourse on a mystery box from about a year ago where a $5 refund was given to the CC rather than coupons.. But that said I am appreciative of the coupons. And do not intend to get involved in this war.

But that said I am appreciative of the coupons. And do not intend to get involved in this war. What I keep saying is..the easiest way they could have gone was a 10% off coupon..this way the value would have varied by the items ordered and it would be up to the buyer to decide on how much of a discount they wanted on another item to make up for their loss. Also if smart..order the more expensive items getting a greater discount and if that is done..TF will also win since the more expensive items will have been sold quicker. I myself used the 3.33 coupons on the 3.99 laser lights...I'm not stupid...what's 3.33 off on a $60 item..nothing...but a 10% off coupon would get somone free shipping on a $60 item (the way it used to be) and TF is still getting $60 for the item perse'! AND..there wouldn't be any question about stackability since percent off coupons aren't stackable!

Wanted to bump this again, and also add the relevant posts I've seen so far: Has anyone else seen anything posted since Tuesday (I think I have my stuff set for Pacific time, but not 100% sure if that's reflected in these timestamps or not ... such things should really include the timezone right there with the date/time methinks).
By: King of Fling Topic: The Infamous THINGFLING Mystery Box- $9.99 Posted: Thursday, May 01, 2008 12:11:54 AM We are working with the programmers for a way to combine the coupons...I am being told it might take up to a week.....but I told them to go ahead and do it asap.
By: King of Fling Topic: The Infamous THINGFLING Mystery Box- $9.99 Posted: Thursday, May 01, 2008 4:57:22 PM I am still here... since we have so far issued coupons worth one third of the purchase price, and are now working on a solution to allow users to "stack" coupons , I think your comment that I would say" let them eat cake is unfair." You may not like our solutions so far, but it should not, or could not be defined as lack of caring.
As a personal request, btw, if everyone could please focus their opinions towards ME and not my staff and our other flingers, it would be very appreciated. NO ONE ELSE should be blamed.
I especially am concerned about calling each other names and such.
I do not ask you not to be angry, but why take it out on innocent bystanders ??
ps- Of course we looked, and do you think we would knowingly send out stuff that didn't work ??? Has that ever been our style ????

Not trying. Working hard to accomplish the combine coupon feature that the King promised as well as other things.
ThingFling is a legitimate company as most of you know. Give some time and everybody else will as well.

Just got this email:
Hello everyone, it is a beautiful Thursday and the Kingdom is still agitated after the MB-999 episode. So, let me go straight to the point: As you all know ThingFling is working on having all your MB-999 Coupons combinable. The feature is completed. In order to have the feature implemented we had to close the coupons issued last week and we are reissuing them. So for the mean time the MB-999 coupons are not working. We will be sending a follow up email on this subject as soon as it’s a go! (Few hours should do it.)
Well played, Thingfling, Well played... Looks like I may get this Leftover box after all!

Ok, The coupons should be back (mine were) and should stack. Just enter the code and click apply each time for however many you are going to use. Does that make sense? Good luck! Greek
