Sweet, I almost bought one of these things a while ago!

Browsed Slickdeals before filling out the survey. I put that I drink coffee and soda at home, and am part of a social club that meets 1/month.

Also, http://www.coffeewhiz.com also sells various pods that will fit the machine.

I took the survey... unfortunately I can't remember all the questions. However I answered I was chosen immediately and the Senseo has already shipped! It's only been like 2 days. Applause

I too passed their test and they shipped out my machina. Does anyone know which model number it is? I only ask because I like to read up on products and reviews. Props to Greek. I will drink me first cuppa in your honor Smile Late, Dubz

Applause Applause Applause So glad those of you that can use the offer did! Now I'm kinda sorry I took pity on hubbys coworkers! Ah well, mom says it's nice but she doesn't drink much coffee...maybe it'll come my way (like the george foreman grill, the seal a meal, the chicken go round...you seeing a pattern here?) Enjoy the coffee, oh and BTW, found pods extra cheap at Tuesday Morning (I think they have a website now too). Dancing Greek

Dubz,
I'm pretty sure it's the 7810 basic model. Tho mine was blue and they don't offer blue as a color choice. Greek

See now, you're the one just repeating what I said... in better words! Bad Grin

I don't even bother with the tea pods, there are some brands that will fit in the pod holder just fine (Like my favorite, Celestial Seasonings) but A lot of times I just leave the pod holder empty, put the tea bag in a cup and let the machine run hot water onto it. Works great, and YEAH I've done the oatmeal thing too. Laughing

Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know I have done the Senso survey and gotten my Senseo coffee maker and extras (pretty quick too!). It was an easy survey to finish and for $15 shipping you can't beat it if you are thinking about buying one of these. I ended up taking pity on my hubbys coworkers and sending this in to them...the closest place to get coffee is a greasy spoon called The Beanie WeenieSick I mean seriously...would you eat ANYTHING from a place with a name like that? Anyway, just wanted you to know that the Senseo thing wasn't a scam and a pretty good deal at that! Applause Applause Greek

Thanks again Greek, I appreciate your helpz.

Hey Vee--be sure to read the manual. Absolutely important you do that priming step (only needs to be done once). Also make sure when you put in pods you use the 1 pod or 2 pod holders as appropriate, and just be sure to put the pods in centered and you'll have no problems. People who complain their machines leak or squirt hot water are usually forgoing these simple ideas. (I have been reading the FW and SD threads on these for a long time out of interest of the machines)

By the way for anyone interested: Taqrget's Archer Farm brand makes some great Senseo compatible pods, I think they're worth trying.

Got mine today. While I went to pick up my daughter from school I let my husband set it up. An hour later it still had not flushed. I kept asking him if he had done everything right according to the manual. He claimed yes. An hour after that conversation... he swore it was broken. So beings I'm the master at fixing things I took a look. I said did you fill to the max line with water. Guess what? Needless to say... I had a nice cup of coffee witin a few minutes! Laughing

How did you know I could read upside down? I've been holding that secret since grade school?? Laughing
I got medium as well. I love it! I got 3 8 oz cups from one pod and it was still dark not watered down.

It's funny--there's a lot of people that complain the coffee is too weak and too watered down. But I'm with you--I use one pod on the two cup setting and it's just fine for me. I don't even mind the amount it gives, I am one of those people who likes my coffee with a lot of cream/milk. So it works for me. If you like the Senseo brand, buy in bulk from Amazon, it works out the cheapest per pod that way (at least from what I've seen)

Scared,
Beanie Weenie has a Wiki?? EEEEEEEEEEEW! Under what category...PTOMAINE? Hubby works in a building right next to it so some days the whole building reeks of greasy food. Shirlington isn't that bad, there's some brewery/restaurant place there I've heard is good...tho, I don't drink beer. Greek
