I had a baby shower earlier today, then I had to go grocery shopping, and then take Angie up to get her rabies shot. Now I'm resting, and then I have to finish the laundry, and get dinner ready.

I've been hiding! The infamy stole the love.

Tomorrow I am getting a little brown puppy boy--A Chihuahua--My sister's neighbor's Chihuahua just had another litter a month or so ago, and they offered me one for free. So no I didn't get to choose--but--A Chihuahua will do me just fine. Plus the main reason why I've always hated little yappy dogs is because they're little yappy dogs, and well--not a problem anymore! My ears broked! Actually, for weeks I thought he was a girl, they told me I was getting a girl. THEN when the dog breeder came over to buy the other three girl pups, they checked again,m and what do ya know? He's a boy! SO I feel he and I already have some kindred bonds and mutual understandings--We both have not been picked for breeding, AND we have both at one time or another in our lives been mistaken for girls! Brilliant, I needed a buddy, he will do quite nicely I think. After I get him a fake mustache and maybe some fake fluffy chest hair. I think it is almost ob;obligatory by law that I've got to go out and get a little dogie carrying purse in't it? Wonder if I can get any to match my blazers. I am feeling highly tormented at the moment trying to pick out a name--Top contender at the moment is "George"--as in the abominable snow man. Other top runner ups are: "Gizmo", "Bunny", and on the outskirts but definitely still in the running: "Cujo" Hmmm hmm hmm, decisions decisions, eh?

My little niece got a brown girl Chihuahua from the last time her neighbor's had a litter. My niece's Chihuahua is called "Princess"--my niece is usually a blob of pink every time I see her (every day since I babysit after school), not sure where she got that tendency from, as it's nowhere else in the family. Anyway she very seriously told me that she wants me to name my dog: "Cookie". I told her, I said: "Little monkey, you are NOT naming my dog!"

So dabbling on a few different projects too, been busy, not been feeling so very much talkative either. That's all! Hi guys!

Congratulations!!!! How fun to have a puppy in the house! I personally like Cujo, very good name for a chihuahua since they are the onse that usually take off my fingers instead of pit bulls.

Compromise with the little pink monkey -- go with Chip. All the best cookies have chips Smile

Otherwise, I'd go with Cujo. Of course, I have influenced my daughter to name her leopard gecko Stripe, her goldfish Spot, and her pet turtles Sunflower, King, and Fluffy. (the turtles were one season only pets that got set loose at the end of a season -- we are currently down to only 4 pets)

I knew I liked you for some reason - another dog person!! No offense to you cat people - I love cats too, but my preference is for puppies!! I have a little terrier/chihuahua mix named Willie, a Bassett Hound named Otis, a Great Pyrenees mix named Lucy, and a Schnauzer mix named Maggie. Love 'em all. Oddly enough, my little dog is not a yapper - the bassett hound is the noisy one of the bunch!! He "bays" at everything, and since I'm only a few blocks from the fire station - well, he bays a LOT every time he hears the sirens! Congrats on the new puppy, Scared......

Melmo - I would never ignore you...

Fhener - I've been ignoring you, because you never offered me any brownies.....

Everybody! Thanks for your suggestions and thoughts and congratulations! I appreciate it very much.

Debs: I would never ignore you! Well yes ad that's okay we don't have to breed, we can just go for ice cream instead, usually just as good!

Henderson: Yes the dogs and the coffee habit! we Have that in common! To be honest I am not a cat person at all.. But to be fair--I've always been allergic to them and it's hard to fall in love with something that makes you wanna itch your skin off and pull out your eyes! But I can hang with cats in small doses, but yeah definitely a dog person. Although! I haven't had a dog since I was a kid/teenager, and the family dogs were all outdoor dogs(a series of German Shepherds mostly,. last was a Husky).

I was surprised last night by receiving my pup one day early.

When I met him his name came to me relatively quickly after weeks of tormenting thought. Guys, meet Socks:

Socks is the coolest. He is hanging out right now atop my shoulder. He is my new Parrot. I need an eye patch now.

Oh Henderson.. I'm sorry... there's an endless supply of brownies. You are more than welcome to have some Very Happy . They are very special brownies that lets say have a very "calming" effect! Enjoy!! Laughing

I have a Poodle/Chihuahua . They're called Poochi's or Chipoo's. Basically she looks like a long haired Chihuahua. She was just a little furball when we got her.. fit in the palm of my hand. My favorite part of her is her cute ears! Furry Chihuahua ears! She's very protective of my kids .. doesn't even like me to wake them up for school... I get snapped at because she sleeps with each one at different times during the night. Oh.. her name is Minnie.. yes we're Disney fanatics but also because she was the runt of the bunch.

I used to have a chiuahaaahahahahaha(i am too lazy to see how it's spelled). If I remember right, don't you have to feed them sugar stuff? I know they are very hard to take care of. But I love how they can be LITTER TRAINED!!

Thanks all. I have to say that I didn't even notice Sock's wang in that photo until pointed out......By several of you weirdos. Bad Grin But now that you mention.... One has to wonder if Chihuahua lady was not quite being so frank about not realizing earlier he was a boy. Laughing Not that it matters to me, I would've been happy either way. Wink

Melmo: I have no idea! I will be the first to admit that I have no clue what I'm doing, but as Debs said! He is training me nicely. (and I'm trying to read up a bit) I have a bag of temporary food stuffs that my sister broke me off for now that her (my niece's) Chihuahua eats. Learning still, but it's great, I think our personalities mesh really well. I will take any and all tips put forth though! My tip gem received last night was one by my other sister who read puppies sleep better if you put one of your t-shirts in bed with them and a ticking clock, because your sent will keep them company and the clock is like a heart beat. So I did both, and it totally worked, he was out like a light once he snuggled into my t-shirt.

Anyway sorry, didn't mean to be the one to turn this thread XXX. Whistle Silenced Embarassed

EDIT: No that was Debs! Cool
