HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT CANELING OPEN ORDERS?
Help anyone? the FAQ does not give a way to do it.

I haven't read about how to do that anywhere, but would think since most orders take a bit to process, that you would be able to open a ticket and get it taken care of before they ship it out. It will still probably charge you card, I think it does that right away, but it usually only takes a few days for the money to be returned. I've never had a problem here with chages or needing to cancel an order, but have been overcharged a few times elsewhere and had to have money refunded. This has just been my personal experience with this sorta thing. Maybe not exactly the answer you were looking for, but hope that helps.

No mystery. Just cheap prices.

Razz on mystery cables.

Same here. www.monoprice.com for all your cable needs at a fair price.

I did go for one Cable mystery box in the past, got a ton of cables but couldn't use most of them. Still was a good deal.

In my opinion the prime draw to Monster cables ultimately is they usually have better/thicker shielding than your avenge cheap generic cable. This is more important for analogue signals that will show distortion when interference from other sources is able to interact with the cable. HDMI and DVI are digital, and the shielding is not so important. In the case of DVI and HDMI I always buy from monoprice which has been mentioned earlier in this thread--the cables there are cheap but sturdy, not the thickest shielding but on a digital cable it doesn't matter as much--the signal is a series of high or lows, and it's basically an all or nothing affair. I do appreciate Monster on component, svideo, RCA, etc and will use them if I can get them at a good price--would never buy retail.

Thingfling, I am in the process of reconfiguring some of my AV equipment, would fling one of these boxes if you could guarantee me at least 1 component, and 1 three plug RCA. But since it's a mystery and only 4 cables this time, I will be sitting this one out.

I got the BIG mystey box of cables a while back. I needed a few of them. However, I think I have a lifetime supply of the other cables. I have tried to sell them or even give them away, but all my friends already have the cables that they need. UGGHH !!! And on EBAY, the price for cables is so low that it isn't even worth my time to sell them. What's a guy going to do?

That said, I'm passing on these cables. If they aren't in the mood to send me any high end video cables, I don't need them. Anyone in eastern Washington state need cables????

Remember: as veteran flingers have said over, and over, and over again in the 'infamous $9.99 MB" thread: this is a mystery so don't complain no matter what you get! Fling isn't promising you anything but 4 Monster cables. They may be outdated cables that are of no use to anyone any longer Composite video or even s-video. You may get 4 of the same cable too. I don't think many people would get upset over that. That's what you expect from a mystery box.

With a Thing Fling MB however, you get even less! These cable may be too short to use 3 inches long maybe - they didn't promise that they would be long enough. Of course with Thing Fling they may not work! Dancing You can't return them if rats have eaten through the packaging since they clearly state "Thing Fling will not accept any returns." Applause They may not have connectors either, who knows?? The biggest thing to remember is: you may be able to get the same stuff on e-bay for MUCH, MUCH less! Bad Grin

Have fun flinging!
