Aww, it's okay Debs, I found myself a nice corner to huddle in and cried myself to sleep that night. An Ava broken heart, I have, but I'm on the mends. If my experience in the who'd you rather thread holds true, I bet I was beat out by DeaqthTaco once again! Argh, you are my arch nemesis, DeathTaco!

I'm in northern Virginia, just about 20 minutes south of DC. So I think South Carolina might actually just about be middle! For the record though, when I said South of the Border, I was referring to the truck stop/tourist trap named such along I95 in SC. I can never resist stopping at that place even if just for a minute anytime I pass it.  So, party at Melmo's, I think she kinda volunteered!

ah...last time we were down that way(about 8 yrs ago!) to visit hubby's grandma, it was a 10 hr drive to Madiera beach..that's near tampa, isn't it?

It's not too far from Tampa..it's actually near St. Pete..see #4 on the map  It's very nice there! Tampa is more inland probably about an hour northeast..actually...if you see that red star on the map..that's Clearwater..there's a bridge straight across as you can see a road running thru the water ..that's the road to Tampa..get on that..cross over and you're just at Tampa Airport. If you're going to visit again...There's a place called John's Pass just north of Madeira Beach..go there for dinner..you can eat out on the decks that over look the water and the dolphins come in there to play around alot..kinda nice to watch them..but watch out for the birds..they'll steal your food right out of your hand! Eat Fast!
