Has anyone else played much with these? Mine has the funniest behavior:

If I leave batteries in for a while (an hour or so), it won't turn back on until I remove them, wait a bit, then put them back in.

Now, during the cool little circling setting, it randomly decides to freeze on one or two LEDs and just sit there, without the button working.

Overall, it's a neat little device, but the quirks are making me laugh. Has anyone figured out how to open the thing yet? I'm wondering if it's just got a loose connection somewhere or something.

Mine seems to work just fine, multiple flash patterns and such. But then again it's not actually me that's playing with it Smile

It does not, however, hypnotize cats. One cat merely sniffed it disdainfully, while the other cried and backed himself into a corner when confronted with the flashing.

If all you're trying to do is irritate your wife by chasing chicken-hearted cats around the living room, it works excellent. Very Happy

Oh one of my cats loved it! She was mesmerized by it, then would suddenly spot the flash against a wall and get all excited...back and forth between the beacon and the wall.

We have 4 (yes, 4!) cats. I'm going to have to dig this thing out and try it on them. If it is worth it I'll post a quickie video since I have one of those Flip pocket video cameras Wink
