hmmmm I don't care for that quote. Life is very useful. I couldn't imagine not being able to live for and cherish my kids. And music makes life livable...so it's useful too. How else would I get out of bed every day without being tempted by Disturbed blaring out of my radio?

Unless I'm using a cell phone as a backup alarm. Then it's king or Skynyrd. I'm not quite sure who Disturbed is. Type your signature here.

I grew up with Tom Petty, but never really got in to him. of course, I was 13 when Kurt Cobain killed himself and went to a Marilyn Manson concert when I was 15. Disturbed is a rock band... might be a little over the edge for your taste if you like Tom Petty....but give them a try http://youtube.com/watch?v=drTQaAaCeh0

Who's Kurt Cobain? You're joking, right? Well in case you aren't, he was the lead singer from Nirvana.

Honestly, though I did have to ask who he was the first time he tried to kill himself (that's how I knew who he was when he finally succeeded.) Nirvana was popular enough, but it seems to me that Cobain wasn't a household name until he was gone. Makes me wonder if Hendrix and Morrison (and Van Zant and Joplin and Buddy Holly, etc., etc., etc.) were anywhere near as huge in life as they are in death (they were a bit before my time, unfortunately for me.) I was the right age to have been into Nirvana, but never really got into them. I was one of those Metallica fans that didn't quite like where the whole Seattle-grunge thing was taking "rock". (I always kinda liked Soundgarden for some reason though.) Type your signature here.
