I'm reading in ThingFlings blogs and forums about so many not so good experiences people have had or are having that it is really making me nervous. I KNOW there must be SOMEONE with a great story to relay so there is some balance here.Question

I have received three orders very promptly and been quite pleased with them. The Mystery Boxes were sent to the wrong address, however, and are still being shipped from state to state looking for Texas.

Thank you for the positive responses. To any of you that are concerned I fully understand. Please keep in mind though, that more often then not, when things go smoothly, most people do not post. We did have a major problem with only a very small percentages of our orders, and almost all on the same day. The problem is fixed, and if you look at more recent posts,I think you will find a bunch of positive posts.

Tech530, I have been having trouble with my order. I ordered some headphones on the 1st of Dec and still have not received them. After several posts I finally get some tracking info. My headphones were delivered to the wrong city. I was told that I was sent 2 or 3 emails but never received 1. Very frustrating.......

Hey Poollizard, good to hear someone is getting what they ordered. I still have not gotten what I ordered on the 1st of Dec. They sent it to the wrong address. Sounds like this has happened to several people. I got a message in my inbox saying they will send me what I ordered but just like always they say they will fix it but nothing happens. If it weren't for posting in the forums I would have no response from thing fling. Come Tuesday morning I will call my bank and tell them Thing Fling is a rip off and get my money returned.

With all the trouble and lack of contact from you, don't count on me ever odering from THINGFLING again. If you had any idea about my situation you would know there was a delivery confirmation. The problem is it was delivered to the wrong city. Atleast the state was right, but that doesn't do me any good does it? Thankfully my credit card will protect me from charges for goods not received. I'm not going to send you an email because I feel it will result in several more days of no results. I have heard on too many occasions that you would contact me and you did not. The only way I can get you to respond is by posting in the forum, which I hope people will read and think twice before ordering.

And I guess you have never made a mistake. I am soory we let you down, and we clearly have made alot a people happy. However it is up to each individual to decide for themselves. I just want to reassure yo that although you are wish to contact your credit card company it is not neccassary. I will have the credit issued on Tues once I confirm that you did not get your box and that it is at the wrong address. I wish I could do it today just to satisfy you, but with the holiday, Tues is the best I can do. I will agree in asdvance that it is really not good enough, but with the holiday my options are limited.

Of course everyone makes mistakes, it's how we deal with them that makes the difference. If I seem rude it's because I'm tired of you saying you will correct the issue and you do nothing. I'll lay out the events and you let me know if I'm being unreasonable. Starting Dec 1st, I decided to get my first fling (Full size headphones and earbuds combo) plus a free gift for registering sounded cool. A few days later my account is charged $8.00 for the purchase. I wait until Dec 20th to inquire about my headphones because you do not give shipping info. I put up a post (Very Frustrated) to see If I get a response. The response was they were delivered on the 8th of Dec and I would get an email. I waited 5 days and never received an email. Dec 25th I put up another post under the Products forum (Full size headphones and earbuds combo) they were offered again on thingfling on the 24th. I posted again asking what is the deal with my order. The response was we will contact you and send you the shipping info on Tues the 26th because of Christmas. I totaly understand about the Holidays but Tuesday came and went without any contact. I once again inquired on Wed the 27th since I didn't hear from you when you said you would. Thingfling response was there was a message in my thingfling inbox. Dec 27th, the message was my shipping info with delivery confirmation. The headphones that I paid for were sent to the wrong address in the wrong city, I double checked my account info and everything was correct. Dec 27th, I replied to let thingfling know it was shipped to the wrong place. Dec 28th, Thingfling apologized for the confusion and said "Rest assured you will receive your item". Dec 28th I responed with one last chance to get it right all I ask is you contact me with shipping info asap and send me a message to let me know the progress, I did not recieve a response. Also on Dec 28th I responded on the Everything Else forum topic Anyone with a smooth transaction? Someone was apprehensive about ordering after reading the forums, so I felt obligated to share how I was being treated. Thingfling wanted me to email a phone number so they could straighten out the situation, once again my account info had the right phone number so I did not email, I had it at this point and just wanted my money back. Dec 31st I still had not received any contact from thingfling so I posted again obviously angry. Thingfling response they will credit my account if there was no delivery confirmation. My response was there was a delivery confirmation, but it was not my address and I want my money back. That takes us up to thingfling's last post Dec 31st and comment "And I guess you have never made a mistake", which pissed me off because they are acting like this all happened over 1 day. You can clearly see that Thingfling on every occasion said they would rectify the situation but never contacted me, sent me replacement headphones, or refunded my money. The only time I got contact was when I posted on the forum. Hope everyone reads this and thinks twice before ordering.

I ordered late last week, received DHL notice that it shipped on the 29th, arrive Jan. 2nd. Super fast, especially given that there was a holiday in there.

I've ordered two of the mystery boxes. Second box was flawless, the first box I had to ask for an email confirmation, and then spend about 5 minutes on the phone with DHL to change the address. Not too bad for a pretty new site, and I now have enough stuff to start up my own Radio Shack! Smile

To the admins: Keep up the good work and keep the improvements coming! I saw a message posted earlier about having a link to the product thread in the item's description. I second this, as it makes it much easier to comment on the item. Also, maybe place a link to the item's thread in the my account section next to the ordered item? Would definitely make things easier. Other than that, love the site!

I agree that at least a description in the orders section with each order would help. I've ordered so many things in the past 2 weeks it's hard to keep track.

By the way, I've received 2 of my orders so far the almost mystery box and the cam. The almost mystery box took a bit to receive but I did get a tracking number and when I checked the dhl site, it said attempted to deliver. I was here all day and noone tried to deliver anything. I later received a call and found out that they (dhl) just didn't know where my address was and asked for directions. When I got the box a the next day it had DHL hand written directions on it. LOL

The other box was shipped USPS and with the holiday and Ford day and sunday it took a bit longer than it probably mormally would have. When I opened this box the package that my item was shipped in was pretty much destroyed but the product seemed ok. I have yet to test it.

I think at least part of the issue is with the Delivery company(ies).

Overall I am pretty happy with Flinging Things but I still have 4 or so orders to arrive and there's another almost mystery box tonight... (Plus the freebie for registering, whatever that is...) Wink
