Got my 20 of these today and wish I had ordered more. These are great. I also got an extra freebie mini tool set thrown in with them. Another thing I'd had an issue with was how long it was taking to get my orders. Instead of the usual 2 weeks, this order came in about a week. That puts TF on the same level as other sites I use and with their commitment to please us that puts them way up there in my opinion. If any of the Court read this, I'm sending much praise your way. I will continue being a loyal customer.

Got mine yesterday and well.. TF let me down, normally I'm happy with everything but these were listed as new..
most were, 16 of the 20 I got were brand new and sealed, but 3 had the tops cut off and pieces missing, batteries were installed in two of them, batteries were dead of course, and one of them was actually ripped open on the back and taped closed with scotch tape.
I tossed them in the garbage, no big loss really
it's not that big of a deal, they were cheap and all, and my kids like them, and those that I gave them to were happy, but the point is when it's listed as new then well new products are what should be sent out...
I'm not complaining about the product itself just the condition of a few of them...

If you need extra batteries for these radios you can get them here... cr2032 battery link. if you buy 2 - 5 packs, mention thingfling and get an extra 5 pack free! i might be a bit biased, but unless you are buying a hundred of these batteries, this isn't a bad price with free shipping.

So... you bought 100? The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension. 22

I'm in for 3 sets...#1 son leaving for summer camp in a couple of weeks. (4 weeks of quiet...it's sleep away camp!) I like to send a care package for his cabin about half way into the session, but will probably send these early if they don't come before he leaves (July 12th hint, hint). I will also order more button batts as they will probably use these a lot during rest period. Does anyone know of a good deal on the replacement batts for these? Going for that "Mommy of the Year" award...hehehehee

Dan, The shipping goes down to $4 after you order something then to FREE after you order something else, then stays free for the rest of the 24 hour period. After 24 hours, it goes back up to $6 and starts all over again. Are ya totally confused yet? Greek PS...Here's the shipping charges thread if what I told you doesn't make sense. http://www.thingfling.co...he-BIG-Announcement.aspx

You will need batteries period. These have been sitting in a warehouse for years and all of the batteries are dead. I assume everyone realizes these are cheap little things with poor reception and horrible sound. Unless you are giving these away, I would suggest going to Buy.com and spending $20 for a refurbished Sansa with 2 gig MP3 and FM tuner.

You can get these batteries anywhere. I have seen some at the dollar store. But they are really cheap on ebay. You and get 20 for like $6. Good deal. These will be great gifts in our DFCS baskets at church.
