That was the goal... Having fun!! Nobody sells good stuff like that for $0.99 and no shipping. It's the luck of the draw! Next time we'll try to come up with a different game/deal for you Flingers!

Even though it was very frustrating not getting all the 99 cent items, I had a lot of fun, I may have been cursing at not getting what I wanted but I was smiling at the same time. I look forward to the next promotion, definately ... thanks ThingFling!  5 Flings so far!! WooHoo!!Why have I got this in my Siggy ... BECAUSE I CAN!!!

I actually enjoyed the WW 99 cent promotion. It was exciting and fun, and winning something definitely helped! Maybe in the future, there can be a game where it's more luck based and you can only win once during the event. The labor day promotion and this past promotion gives an advantage to those who have high speed connections. "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then flingest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

I mean sure high speed connections helped but with the barrage on the servers that wasn't really enough. People who network wise and geographically closer to thingfling probably had an edge in reducing latency and minimizing the amount of hops from them to thingflings server. And then timing too--did you get a server page request in just at the right time that the server chose to serve it to you instead of just sitting on it like it did for probably most people (or at least didn't serve it until it was already too late). I thought it was a fair enough process, though obviously some had more edge than others. But still it would be great if thingfling keeps working on these promos and refining the process they go at them. Maybe a nice raffle of sorts would go over well.
