Not happy with my 3 MB either. I work in a dollar store and we sell the exact same NeoGlo flash thingies. The UB Kool doesn't work and the Emerson Revealing light has a place for an adapter but none was included. The Coleman laser level was the only decent thing in the box. Definately "not" a Greeeeeat gadget or electronics box as stated. Definately not worth $35.00. I won't be buying anymore MB from ThingFlings. Rolling Eyes

OK, time to put your money where your mouth is...If the dollar store you work at sells these glow novelties for a buck apiece, I wil pay you 2 bucks apiece for them, plus shipping, BY THE CASE. They sell for 5-10 bucks EASY in local flea markets. Please PM me.

I'm pretty sure you think he's b.s.'ing you on a dollar store selling the neoglo thingies but our local dollar store does. I got a couple for my son last year. He totally thinks their cool. Okay, mom does too.

I am another person who was disappointed with the $11.99 mystery bag. The framealopes are something I would never use and don't even think I can give them away. Why would I want to send a picture with a frame that says, "New York City"? The NeoGlo things might be attractive to my grandchildren but not for me, and though the UB Cool is interesting, I would not have knowingly purchased it. However, I had not complained and just decided I need to stop doing this impulse buying. Lo and behold, today, I got email that indicated that I received a $5 refund. A big and gratefully appreciated surprise. Thank you King for being honorable. This may cost you some money but it goes a long way in good will.

Got my stuff today. Main items, laser level, ionizer and UB cool same as others.

UB cool works very poorly whether by design or by malfunction.
Disk temp. measured with a Fluke 62 mini IR thermometer after about 5 minutes in a very comfortable air conditioned room got down to a bone chilling 60 degrees. BRRR!! Rolling Eyes

Mostly all the same useless light junk others got as well.

Pretty disatisfying overall.

One thing people are forgetting about the U B Kool.. It's just a simple Peltier Junction, the colder it gets, the more power it would require to run, you really expect arctic cold from 4 AA batteries? Smile
60 degrees against your skin on a 95 degree day will still feel better, no?

why does $5 rebate make them honorable? By that I mean: you bought a mystery bag. You received stuff that you believe you couldn't or wouldn't use, but you bought it. The 5 dollar rebate/refund makes them gracious, not honorable (I am not saying they are dishonest). It's dishonest for folks to think there was a corvette in the offering (clearly disclaimed). it was a $12 BOC ($7 after refund), one on woot would cost you 6. your odds are the same of getting something you don't want or need or absolute crap. Not everyone wins the lottery.

For the 5 or 6 seconds it takes for it to go back to skin temperature? Nope not at all. The thing is useless. Obvioulsy why it's here on a merchandise clearance site in the first place.

I disagree with you. Possibly it loses a little chill when in contact with the skin, but mine remains chill to the touch so long as it stays powered on, even when applied to the skin for a prolonged period. Perhaps it is your perception that it is heating up? I don't know. I also know you need batteries with a good charge. But you're the one with the IR thermometer--you could easily test these things if you liked. Along with my other suggestion earlier of testing it out in a hotter environment than an ACed room.

For me the UB-Kool is quite useful and I like it a good deal.

I must say that I am not real happy with the 24 bucks or so it cost me for this fling. (My first time) I got the 4 flashing thingies, and a flashlight that should have come with a power adapter or something but didn't, Just inside a bubble wrap baggie. Also the ionizer for my car. and 2 of those picture sending thingies. Some of it was in a bag, but other sruff was just dumped into the box. I wish now I had refused shippment, which I could have since the box was pretty crushed as well Oh well you live and learn. Remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. I will probably no risk a mystery fling again.
