C'mon, dude, don't you have any settings other than profane?

It's getting old. You're unhappy. We get it. Just because you're sitting behind The Internet doesn't mean you need to be abusive and rude.

Try some language that an actual person in an actual conversation would use and someone might take you more seriously.

true.. i'm just way too piss-off, hopefully after a day or so, i will be back to normal.. anyways.. sorry about my language... i'm just too piss-off that i spent $36 for those (i knew i shouldn't buy it, but stupid me did buy it, bought 3 which was even more stupid) the description made me more piss when i read it over (i screen capture all of the items i buy).

Well, that I can totally understand. I bought a MB from chickchock.com, and it basically went into the trash. (They didn't even offer free shipping!) And, frankly, there's no need for me to go back there now.

But the whole frothing-at-the-mouth thing, I just don't get.

If you want, I'll mail you my blinky keychain - would that make you feel better? Wink

Lets just say the following - all the mystery boxes till now were at a minimum items that had resalve value equivalent to the box's price:

For example - the monster grab bag - was about 4 items, and each one would sell for 5 - 10 bux minimum.

this box however, is LOTS of small items which have NO resale value. Thats probably why everyone is more upset than usual. I would never buy any of these unless I knew I could sell the stuff and make at least most of my money back....

This will be the first dissapointment for me:

I had already bought:

Almost MB w/ wireless + surge. I got these extras:
webcam
wirless mouse
card reader
game pad

VERY GOOD DEAL.

Then I got the monster grab bag:
Surge
Inverter
Optical audio cable
Svideo Cable
Tshirt

Also, not too bad... I wanted a different selection, but I can defenitely resell and get my money back.

So for all those that are really dissapointed w/ this bag... I Agree... However, maybe the king will consider our feedback, and not do things like this in the future...

The 3.99 one sucked (thank g-d time ran out before I ordered...) and this one also sucked (but I did order...).

I just bought the $10 special MB.

If this one also sucks.... I'm out. From now on ONLY AMBoxes.

King, Over the past 2 months I've seen this site double in users. Don't kill your sudden popularity by making people this unhappy again...

7 fling so far....

I gree with ya there. I felt a little misleaded by the description.

Im a sucker for these MB bags though, I got in on the one they did last nigt saying it was to make up for the 11.99 bags. it was alot more expensive but I flung anyway.. Hopefully this time around it will be better

Mine just got here. Same as all the others. The UB Cool is broken (case cracked) was loose in the box and is missing the battery cover. 2 of the 4 flashlight/keychains have corroded batteries which is also inside the cases. I think i will pass on the next MB.

The fact of not providing the AC Adapter is passed down from the manufacturer, not TF.

I am even more upset now that I look at the contents of my MB. I don't see how a light can be considered techie or a gadget. The only thing not worth throwing away is the level. You might as well have shipped the wrapper from the burger you ate at lunch. Everything in that bag is garbage, and I feel scammed. Here is the line thats pissing me off: "For those of you who like gadgets and/or electronics, don't miss out. This is right up your alley. Most of the items are battery or plug in items."

1. I didn't get anything that plugs in.
and
2. Watch batteries don't power electronics, they power crappy keychains, which I now have a plethora of.

Thanks King for ripping me off. I bought from this site on a recommendation, and both MBs have been garbage. At least Woot tells you that you're getting crap. You claim to want this garbage for yourself? If thats the case, then how about you buy it back from me.

VERY GOOD POINT!...

KING "these are so cool, i'm buying them for myself"... since most of us feel rip-off... why don't you buy ALL of OURS BACK!,, since they DON'T SEEM to be SO COOL to us... but seriously... i have no clue what you guys at ThingFling.com were thinking on these $11.99 bags... ripping us off is just going to have this site loose its members and words will or have already been spread on the WWW about what a joke this site is with "their bags of ..real crap.."..

i think this has been the worst item / bag you have ever offer, and not sure if this site will bounce back well... just keep your regualr items and seriously think of what you say about the MB bags / Boxes and what you plan to put in there before you take you hard earn money into your bank account.

My reaction to my mystery bags is...well...a mixed bag. As a school teacher, I actually can think of a use for the little key chains (prize box) and even the pic envelopes (pen pals). Also, the level and bigger lights will undoubtedly be useful to someone I know and thus will make good stocking stuffers/gifts. However, the one item I actually had some use for myself - the UB Kool - is either broken or works so poorly that it should be renamed to UB Warm.
EDITED: I just looked up the UB Kool product online and found the following link which leads me to believe that mine isn't broken; it was just always a lousy product. Oh well at least I didn't pay $50 for it like the guy/tv station in the clip.
http://kutv.com/letbillb...al_story_005232607.html
Anyway...I bought the mystery bags this time and a few times before knowing I may or may not like what was in them...and thus I really don't see that I have anything to complain about. I understand why folks are upset about the electronics description, but truthfully, like it or not, everything in the bags save the envelopes was technically an electronic gadget. Having said that, I'll probably pass on the next mystery bags myself.

This has to be to the worst MB ever. All it had was:
- Emerson Flash Light (the only thing of value)
- Blinky wand (already broken)
- Blinky pendant
- a post card

That is it. No ionizer, no laser level... I hear you all complaining about getting that stuff. That would have been great. Warding off the MB forever and would advise others to do the same. Tremendous rip off

Not happy with my 3 MB either. I work in a dollar store and we sell the exact same NeoGlo flash thingies. The UB Kool doesn't work and the Emerson Revealing light has a place for an adapter but none was included. The Coleman laser level was the only decent thing in the box. Definately "not" a Greeeeeat gadget or electronics box as stated. Definately not worth $35.00. I won't be buying anymore MB from ThingFlings. Rolling Eyes

OK, time to put your money where your mouth is...If the dollar store you work at sells these glow novelties for a buck apiece, I wil pay you 2 bucks apiece for them, plus shipping, BY THE CASE. They sell for 5-10 bucks EASY in local flea markets. Please PM me.

Ok jzahniser, that is the bag those of us who bought 1 bag received. BUT given the fact that the King went above and beyond what was needed and GAVE EVERYONE a $5 REFUND making that bag $7 I do not feel there is no more room for complaining as these items could easily be stocking stuffers for kids or whomever you so choose and still be a great price now. That flashlight alone could fetch $7. And dont forget you didnt pay shipping.

My experience with past Thingfling mystery boxes and almost mystery boxes is that essentially every box has a prime item, while there usually is more then just that item, the rest can essentially be ascribed to being filler.

In the case of these mystery boxes the prime items it seems to me are the UB Kool, The ionizer, and the Laser-level. The rest? it's filler, but certainly most items are worth more than simply just "dollar store" items as it keeps being tossed around here.

Whether your happy or unhappy or content as near as I can tell just simply depends on your mentality and how useful you find the prime items and the secondary items: because you cannot really get around the fact that these items actually are something of value (though perhaps not of revalue in some cases) but look up the UB Kool on google, and you'll see these things on average are being sold for $30 + shipping. (or perhaps WERE being sold in some cases) I don't know about the pocket ionizer, I haven't looked, but I bet it's worth something retail as well. The laser level I think was established in the beginning to having a retail value of $30-40, which is very nice. Look at these prime items and I would say they indeed all are rather gadgety. But "gadget" is a broad word. When some people hear gadget they think expensive electronics like a PDA or cell phone or other. Other people hear gadget and they think of just electronicy things that do nifty/neat/unusual things. That's the kind of gadget these prime objects are.

As I said in the other thread I was just "Content" with my box uintil I actually put batteries in my UB Kool last night. Now I'm happy with my mystery box. Look if you haven't actually put batteries in your UB Kool, do it, it's almost assured that you don't actually know what it does/is and that if nothing else you'll be impressed at seeing something new. I've never seen any other handheld product that does what the UB Kool does. It's not a fan. I thought that too when I first saw it. The grill part, the part that you probably think is the fan, is not a fan at all. It's an exhaust. The UB Kool should be thought more of like air conditioning/environmental controls. But without the fan. The blue shiny metal disk on the other side of the grill part is where all the action is. Switch the UB Kool to cool, and that disk will within seconds start to chill, until it is finally almost icy cold. Switch it to hot and the opposite happens, the disk becomes quite hot to the touch. You are supposed to apply the blue disk directly to your skin: to your neck, to your forehead, to your wrists, wherever. They suggest places like that where your veins are closer to the skin are better places: to chill the blood, but you can also use it just for spot places that need some heat or coldness. Me? I get migraines ona regular basis. I'm really excited about having this thing. It will be most likely a new friend to me, as something that I can pull out of my bag when a migraine hits and get some instant icy relief.

Is yours broken? or anything else broken? or did you get duplicates of items? Open a trouble ticket. Thingfling will fix it, that's not something you should get upset about. In regards to the UB Kool, yes some people say they got broken ones. But keep in mind too what I said: it's not a fan. If it ain't blowing on you, that doesn't mean it's broken, it's not supposed to do that.
