Make healthy eating easy.

This great new idea in scales combines a removable cutting board with a precision digital kitchen scale. Put the board in place on the scale, and the scale self-adjusts to 0 anytime you press the "tare" button. Then place your food on the board, cut and control your portion.

Cut and slice your favorite meats, cheeses, and vegetables to the precise desired weight for calculation of desired portion size, calories, carbs, etc. The scale will measure up to 3 KG or 6 lbs. in increments as small as 1 gram.

You can cut on the board while it's on the scale, or remove the board for cutting or cleaning. Also features a handy digital timer. This item retails on Price Grabber for $51.94 plus $12.99 in shipping or a cost to you of $55.00. Another vendor is selling it on the internet for $44.99 plus tax shipping which will bring your cost over $60.00. THING FLING price only $19.99. Get yours!!!

Looks interesting!
"First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then flingest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Do you think you could use this to divide dough evenly? Make exactly the same size loaves? Or is this only for dieting?

Well... it could be a perfect gift for the obsessive compulsive bread maker Wink
Sure, except the weight would be the same, not so much size.

Looks handy for food prep or just about any small measuring job, in for one. Now we'll know just how skinny our Parrot is as well if he'll hold still long enough Very Happy

I bought one of these when they were first offered. It works great for measuring anything. I used it to separate family pack-sized hamburger meat into portion sized packages, and other things i want the same weight. Hubby uses it to weigh the jalapeno and habenero peppers he pulls from the garden so he can brag at work. The zero tare function works great to remove weight of bowl/pan or whatever you want to put things in. Original battery is still fine (installed beginning of July) and we use it regularly. Extremely useful item.

So I bought one in July anyway. I use it when I make bread to divide the dough evenly. I actually was surprised by how (almost accurately) I estimated prior to purchasing the scale, but for an OCD person like me, I prefer to know for sure. I also use it to weigh other things like pasta and things that I can buy in bulk and then use less for a specific recipe. I hope this helps someone else.

Mine works well for what I needed it for and still continues to work on the original batteries.
Surprisingly as long as a towels on it the Parrot usually stands on it just fine, skinny lil bugger.
Only goes to 5 pounds but that's more then enough for weighing him, or any food type stuff were doing, the cutting board part is really nice as well. It does read out grams as well just in case anybody didn't notice.
