To help the decision I did some searching for prices (in case I want to try selling them), and came across this: http://www.deerso.com/Cool-Downz-P48388C0.aspx
Pretty certain it's the same brand (pictures are the same). They claim to be offering a 24 pack for $4.99 + shipping (variable ~$7-$10). I'm guessing that's a mistake, but I could be wrong. The shipping is a bit more expensive. They're in Florida shipping UPS Ground, and I'm in California. With 1-4 ordered, the shipping was ~$10 to a residential address or ~$7 to a business address. If I up the quantity to 48 the shipping only increases to ~$12 res or ~$9 business. I gotta think shipping 48 boxes of 24 each would cost more than that. I would call to ask them if it's a mistake, but they're closed right now (9am-5pm Eastern). Not sure if I'll be awake to call tomorrow and then Fling assuming it's a mistake and it's actually ~1-6 of them for $4.99. --havspace Make sure you let us know if it's a mistake or not - that's an awesome deal if it is indeed correct.....thank you! I went for it, they accepted paypal, and I am pretty sure paypal insures your purchases up to a certain amount anyway. Just called them on the phone, Price is $4.99 each. very plainly said was each price not 24 lot for the $4.99 price Lol, it was worth a try, they aready canceled and refunded my order.. Maybe the owner of that site is a Flinger trying to make a few bucks. A little slip of the finger in the description because he/she got them in a set of 24 from TF.

I went to the link and it says 1 cool down now. Maybe they changed it. I am on my 12 case already this year. These really do sell well at fairs, flea markets, etc. redwing wrote:ah8174 wrote:wopaul wrote:ah8174 wrote:HendersonHenderson wrote:havspace wrote:I was trying to decide how many sets of these to fling (have a $5 coupon expiring soon, and I'd like to try these ... hate the heat). Thinner than I thought, but very cool! Can't imagine what I'll do with 48 though The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension. 22

Mine came today. ( Wish I would have gotten them for the weekend when it was 100+ degrees. ) Still in the high 90's so I broke one out as soon as they arrived. These work GREAT! I think these will be very useful this Summer.
I also got my extra items with these. A cute little tool set and a power adapter. Great Fling for me!

How long do these things last? Can you get multiple uses out of them?

COKEMAN wrote:How long do these things last? Can you get multiple uses out of them? Yep! Back into the water (or fridge) and they're good to go again. I'm assuming the water-absorbing crystals will break down over time, so you'll have plenty of extras The excruciating magnitude of your philosophical confabulations are simply too voluminous for the diminuity of my comprehension. 22

I'm going to fling a set if they're still around just after midnight. Just in case there's something I want tomorrow and can save on shipping...

Are there a total of 48 in a set? Two per? It looks like it on the package. Don't know.
I am going to give these out to random people on the street who look like they need a little cooling down. I have a small little ice chest that would be perfect to store these in, if storing them on ice won't hurt them.
Call it a random act of kindness.

Call it a random act of kindness. There are 24 cool downz per "order". Unless you buy 2 sets. Then you'll get 48.
